Technical Notes on Skyrim Marriage Requirements
Hello, I just wanted to write this up in case anyone was interested, plus it could be helpful for anyone else who wants to do modding that involves marriable NPCs.
An NPC has 3 requirements that need to be met for them to be able to be married by the player. This is discounting any requirements not directly to do with the NPC, such as the player needing to be unmarried, the player needing to wear the amulet of mara, etc. Here are the 3 requirements:
The NPC's voice type (which kinds of lines they use, male nord, female argonian, etc.) must be in a certain list. This is because the voices in the list are the only ones that have voice lines recorded for marriage.
