    Finally I got this working!. I've always wanted to use the mods that let the dragonborn have their own children in vr but the problem was it wouldn't let me name them and it would lock the game up. I finally got this mod working(i didn't install the  UI patches at first)  and it is a god send it works perfectly. Thanks so much

    Same problem with recent posts here. I'm running 'Conquest of Skyrim' which need me to type in a faction name. I downloaded 'VR keyboard' and UIExtenstion patch since that's what I'm using. Nothing show up and I can't use keyboard like I normally do with console command. Running FUS on Virtual desktop and Steam VR.

    EDIT: Okay I got it to work with Conquest of Skyrim. It turn out I needed the UILIB patch not the UIExtension even though I'm using UI extension. I think because Conquest of Skyrim uses UILIB instead. Some file from there overwrites CoK. But yea, just download UILIB patch after and you're good to go.

    Can someone tell me how to make the VR keyboard work on Skyrim Outfit System SE?https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/42162
    This MOD requires a Outfit name to be set, but I am unable to input it

    Now that AddItemMenu NG works in VR, is there any chance you could look at supporting VR keyboard to the search mode of that?

      I was trying to use this mod to make AddItemMenu NG's search work too, but it's not working with this. Not this mod's fault but I'd love to see patch for it.

    Has anyone actually been able to get this working for UIExtensions?  I've tried both dropping the 7z for the patch in Vortex and directly extracting the contents to \Skyrim\Data.  When I open a UIE prompt for text absolutely nothing happens though.  Is there a binding to pull up the keyboard?  I'm using SteamVR directly with my Vive Pro and Index controllers so it should be working correct?  The description says to make sure the patch is loaded after UIExtensions but neither VR Keyboard or the UIEVR Patch create a plugin for Vortex to sort so I'm not sure what you mean by that.  There are also no conflicts to resolve for either one after installing.  What am I doing wrong?

    Using UIE v1-2-0 installed via Vortex. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17561?tab=files

    Will there be a opencompiste version :) ? It has a keyboard, you can use it to set character name when starting game and to edit item names when enchanting, there must be a way to make the keyboard appear for everything else :D

    Cant get any keyboard to show and i have both Github patches loaded after the Main file - you basically get stuck on the screen wanting the text input and have to end the game to get out. Also the ~ Cmd i read later in this thread also didnt work for me ""String" is mpt recognized as command type error

    Thanks for this mod! I'm sure I'll keep encountering instances/mods that require some script edits to get them to work with this.

    For anyone using Pay Your Respects, this mod allows you to bury fallen. It has the option of typing a custom memorial as well. To get the custom memorial to work with VR, adjust the line (thank you to mrowrpurr for the detailed explanation) in WW42PYBuryQUestScript.psc to the below and then recompile it.

    Oh, I'll also state this mod merges fine for those concerned about load order.

    elseif(button == 3 )
    memo = 0
    memorials[0] = VRKeyboard.GetKeyboardInput("Custom engraving")     <---- Adjusted Line

    Bloody Hell! I have finally got this to work and I am able to type in console commands and run them without taking my headset off after many failed attempts.

    I already had SKSEVR and VR Address Library installed, so I installed Save and Execute Console Commands mod - I already had all of its requirements installed (but I got SkyUILib by installing Skyrim Cheat Engine and its requirements rather than using the linked LE version). Then I installed the VR Keyboard mod and the UILIB_1 for VR patch which I told Vortex to overwrite Skyrim Cheat Engine with (as 1 file conflicts), which in turn loads after the Save and Execute Console Commands mod.

    So load order is Save and Execute Console Commands > Skyrim Cheat Engine > UILIB_1 for VR patch - once in the game you can open the S&ECC MCM menu and type in and save console commands. This process isn't that intuitive and it took me quite a few attempts to get it working, but once set up you activate the power and you can then choose a console command from a list or enter a new one and execute that. There are 5 lists available each with its own power. I was able to toggle on TGM and TCL and use COC to teleport to a new location - although that was pretty janky going to Riverwood or Whiterun but might be smoother going to a less demanding location or interior. Occasionally the MCM menu became unresponsive, I think this might be because I clicked done on the virtual keyboard without entering any text...

    With this working I can potentially get rid of Skyrim Cheat Engine and the Cheat Powers/Jewellery and just use this method for testing stuff in future - I still need to work out if the console commands are saved by the game or on a per save basis. UPDATE you can export commands and import then into another save.

    UPDATE: Also managed to get Lazy Renamer Lite working as well now - so I can point at an item or npc and rename them - this will be so useful for naming weapons and armour to something sensible without having to enchant it :)

    Will report back when I have everything configured :)
