Is it safe to remove this mod in mid-game? I play as an alchemist with a lot of weight overload and I have to go to the inventory again to remove the excess before taking the overload. uncomfortable =\
How does this mod handle purchasing items while encumbered? Do we lose our gold and the item goes back to shopkeeper inventory? Or is it dropped to the ground?
Good mod. This may be related to the potential issues you talked about on the description page, but in my game, if I become over encumbered while chopping firewood, I can no longer gain firewood by using a chopping block even after I've dropped a bunch of weight. As a workaround, I'll just be careful not to chop so much that I become over encumbered.
I have been unable to reproduce this issue. Everything continues to work as expected when chopping and becoming over-encumbered and when chopping already over-encumbered.
User error. I have a mod that speeds up the chopping animation, but it doesn't add wood to your inventory when you might expect (a bit of a delay), which caused me to manually stop chopping and assume that I was no longer getting wood. I tried again and let the animation play all the way through and realized I was wrong. Sorry about that.
Could you be more specific? If you're overencumbered when accepting the crafted items from the NPC, then yes there may be issues where those items are automatically returned after payment.
I'll take a look at how the crafted item exchange is handled by Honed Metal. If it uses the favor menu I should easily be able to handle that differently by simply dropping the items instead of returning to source NPC/container.
Sure, I'll try to elaborate. Note this may or may not be an issue, which is why I was asking. :) I recall past discussions about how Honed Metal temporarily adds a bunch of crafting materials to your inventory after you exit dialogue and enter the menu with the service NPC (and by your response I think you figured this out). My concern is the player character would immediately be seen as encumbered by this mod and all items would then get dropped. I run LOOT, Wrye Bash, Synthesis and Nemesis. Therefore, I was trying to avoid a conflicting change in my load order. However, I am actually about to to start a new game with your mod and Honed Metal loaded side by side to confirm this.
This is a very good idea. Nice job! I found a minor problem though after a quick test. If you spam pickup an item it seems the script doesn't have time to complete itself and the item is skipped from the checks. So you can still pick up items just by quickly tapping the loot key on it after it's been dropped. You pretty much gotta loot it while it is still in the air from being dropped for this problem to happen and while looting in a normal tempo it seems to work fine. Still, this is a super cool mod and idea.
Are you sure it isn't removed eventually once the script has a bit of time to catch up? May I ask what your framerate is like also, and do you ever experience anything that might seem like script lag from features in other mods?
Okay I tried the same thing on a new character and it works perfect. No matter how much I spammed the script never failed as it did on my first test which was done on a save game that has over 100 hours on it. I had 60 fps during both tests and I have not noticed any script lag from other mods but after these tests I think my save file has a lot of script lag that I've just not noticed before.
It seems like your mod works perfectly as intended and the issue must be caused by script lag on my end.
Hard to say really. It could have been the culmination of several factors, or maybe some fps drops in the area you were testing. Perhaps your >100 hour char has more features/scripts active on them etc that are competing for resources.
Thanks for the testing though! Let me know if you experience any other issues or oddities :)
"RAB Inventory Limits" we already have this. But it's got never update, So this is new mod and I salute you my friend :) can you implement the good things from this mod to your mods?
If i'm understanding this correctly, if i'm full, I can't pick up anything else unless I drop other things. If thats it in a nut shell, then I salute you for this. Made the game a bit more challenging in a way I take for granted. Always up for making things balanced but, also more challenging.

Based on my understanding of that statement, this will certainly apply to a mod like Honed Metal. Am I correct?

Does Honed Metal buff your carry weight at that time? That would be one way to help side-step any issues.
I too, am a Requiem player :)
