My first mod/preset so go easy on me ;)

Please read the whole description before asking support and when you do, images speak louder than words (please use known & public image sharing sites).

Mostly this preset is published as is. Possible new versions will typically just correct minor visuals if nothing major comes up.
If I personally ever adopt new weather or lighting mods, possible presets for those will be released under new names.

    Happy gaming,

    General FYI post:

    • Personally I'm using older RW2 mod, your experience with other water mod might vary. My ENB [WATER] settings main goal is to hide the lod seam + creating transparency that is believable. Everything else is a compromise. Newer RW2 versions seem to somewhat increase transparency by default
    • As you may know, for Obsidian to work with ENB [GAMEVOLUMETRICRAYS] and EVLaS at night, some tweaking is needed. For lazy ones like me, install Obsidian Godrays from gvulture's mod or just alter the Obsidian "1Obsidian_None" Volumetric Lighting values as the mod does.
    • ENB [COMPLEXGRASS] settings for grass seem heavily dependent of mod textures supporting this effect. Because of this, preset adds just very basic settings in v. 0.914.  In my personal mod list, I've only added support for Origins of Forest and adjusted the preset settings to my preference. Currently I've added support to my loadorder for Northern Grass too but I don't see any need to alter this preset.
    • preset v. 0.915 will alter ENB interior enviroment specular values for better support to Soaking Wet mod and balance between exterior specular values. For most prominent effect with this mod, I recommend values around 1000 for glossiness and 50 for specular. Personally settled for 400 / 10
    • preset v. 0.950 adds more ENB support, DoF as main purpose. Included static (manual focus) preset is still under work but close to what I prefer. FPS hit is fairly small even on my allready tanked setup. Switching between Dynavision and ENB DoF doesn't seem to create any issues (simply setting off from MCM, uninstalling scripted plugins mid-game is never advisable). The added support for Soaking Wet mod is to balance specularity visuals between soaked PC and NPC's, how ever they got wet.
    • preset v. 0.955 changed interior lighting values for better Lux support. This was done with earlier version than Lux 5
Possible adjustments for this preset will be done after Lux version +5.0 is released on Nexus.  Naturally, Lux just had the update available before I commented this... Nothing major has changed overall - as far I can tell - that would require adjustment for this preset. If you feel that interiors are to dark, I recommend testing the now available templates in Lux installer.
    • With EVLaS config using automatic fadetimepoint values, Obsidian climate timings (equal to vanilla Skyrim) and - at least - this ENB preset, you would experience global exterior illmunination changes around 6:15 and 19:15. EVLaS for MousyENB 0.956 config preset approaches these with manual fadetimepoint values but differently during dawn and dusk:
dawn values are timed to 6:30 for the change and only apparent visual change you should expect is the direction of shadows. SunriseFadeOutEnd and SunriseFadeInBegin values are equal on this version. If you find the shadow direction change disturbing, I recommend testing increasing the SunriseFadeInBegin value by 0.25 or 0.5 Dusk timing is also set to specific time but illumination balancing is done with ENB values to each weather preset. Edit 4.7.2023 Noticeable shadow direction change is unavoidable/engine limitation
    • ENB 0.477 (30 October 2022) adds Cubemap properties to environment section. Added values in this preset (v. 0.958) are intended to be very subtle as it affects greatly the visuals of lots of mods. Moon intensities have been fixed to more vanilla values, something I discovered only recently when testing other moon textures. Oops...
    • As many older ENB versions for Skyrim SE have been taken down from enbdev.com, current minimum requirement for this preset is version 0.480. I'm currently using the latest 0.483 (December 6th) without any issues.
    • Modders have been busy with new things but this preset hasn't changed much by default. If you use parallax textures, you need to enable correspondig effects in this presets enbeffect.ini
    • With Lux 6.2 I noticed this preset produces unwanted "glow" on some lightsources. Adjust ENB lensflare_game values lower or to zero value.

It is very likely that this preset won't update any further in its current form.

I'm currently working on new preset including tweaked MousyENB and KreatE preset for Obsidian with Lux,
excluding ReShade and some current requirements.

I have a lot of cold medication in my system so I can't discern whether or not to use both reshade AND enb with this one? It looks absolutely beautiful and I can tell you put hours into making this perfectly balanced.

Happy to hear you like it :3  Get well soon!

ReShade preset would add some sharpness, distant exposure and touch of vibrance that lack from ENB preset, give it a go.
You can always uncheck the effects you don't care for.

Currently, I still have some work to do with ENB weather presets (mainly color and exposure balancing) but some are how I like them to be.

What are your recommended settings for EmbersXD? As in, what should I select in the fomod? I currently have Disabled Red Glow and Reduced Yellow Glow selected.

Personally, I'm using Embers XD Flames (Orange/Red) and just the opposite, not selecting those options.
I'm also still using version 2.5.4 but looking at the change log, I doubt much have changed.

Edit: well, I stand corrected. After doing Lux and Embers updates for my loadorder, something has definetely changed. Needs adjustment for this preset.

      Additional information:
ReShade DPX effect has big impact to Embers coloring.
I'd recommend to disable it in this preset and change it to PD80_04_Contrast_Brightness_Saturation for adjustment if needed.

I may be adding pre-pass to it.  Right now, NPC's need some attention. But overall, it looks good.

You're talking about NPC skin glow or such? I have experimented with few texture mods (NPC skin texture mods) to equalize it between my PC so it might explain the difference.

Yes.  Of course, individual mod set ups matter.  For me, adding Ady's shader helped a lot (along with a couple of other tweaks).

Good. I suspect that the ENB preset subsurface scattering values are also somewhat off. I need to check that for next version.
      Thanks for the pointer!

    Version 0.905 and forward
is focused on Obsidian natural filter and seasons off -setting (the default, middle ground coloring).
This way enabling seasons won't break color settings to much.
Does this mean that we have lost the ability to use Obsidian's filters and seasons with your ENB?  To me, that is its primary strength, as compared to other ENBs.  Thanks.

      Not at all.
I'm just trying to make sure that saturation, brightness etc. stay comfortable throughout all seasons. I've been balancing light and colors during cold season so ENB settings might currently be little to saturated (for my taste anyway) during warm months of Obsidian.
Then again, this preset is more in the bleak side anyway.

This is very up my alley; I'll be using this when I swap back to my main character in my playthrough. It looks so good for a first preset!--be proud of it! (:

After 1200+ hours of Skyrim gaming and tinkering one would hope to accomplish something decent

Well done.  Nice screenshots.  I like the idea of "respecting" Obsidian's presets and making them usable.  Most ENB's disable them.
