After reading through comments for a couple **HOURS** to find a way to make the belt fastened animations from this mod work with IED and having a buggy ass XPMSSE MCM menu i got the solution here:
- Open the IED settings by hitting backspace - select the tab "Tools" -> "Settings" - then the tab "Gear positioning" - there you now just need to tick in "Enable XPMSSE style fitting animations" and both Frostfall Quiver options (Idle, Attack)
EDIT: So ... noticed an issue however and its a very weird one.
In order for the bow animations to work properly like that i had to run ... ew ... FNIS and then do the above mentioned settings. But then for some reason i lose the sprinting animation from Leviathan Animations II - Greatsword Non Combat Locomotion. So now i have to pick and choose: Either have the bow-draw working properly and have vanilla greatsword sprint or vice-versa
this needs an update for xpm and belt fed animations honestly id just prefer a second version of this mod with belt fed arrows instead of fiddling with the xpm menus
Is there any chance you could make this compatible with Belt Fastened Quivers? I would love to download this mod cause the animations are exactly what I want but no being able to have my Quiver on my Belt is the only thing keeping me away! Keep up the Amazing Work!
I'll second that. It's so good I'm currently using it despite the bow fastened quiver issue. The sneak archery version has a patch though which is really nice. Great mods, thank you!
I've already included the belt fastened animations in this mod as can be seen in the video preview (at 2:09) that can be enabled through XPMSSE's MCM by choosing the "Frostfall" quiver style, which switches the quiver placement to the belt fastened position, make sure "style fitting animations" is checked so that the animations match the quiver placement.
Optionally you could use the racemenu sliders to move the quiver wherever you want. I actually have mine on the side of the hip (a la Horizon Forbidden West) rather than on the back of the waist.
I have done that however there seems to be either a bug or an issue. After firing an Arrow my character will pull an arrow from the belt quiver with the correct animation and it disappears, then when I actually draw the arrow it pulls another from the default animation where there is not a quiver.
when you crouch and try to aim with the bow you will take the arrow from the back instead of the belt fastened quiver. So not all possibilities are corrected.
@Verolevi yea i tried this and it sadly does not work and the xpmsee mcm is buggy as heck anyway. is there any chance u can put this animation as an optional patch to force it or override(maybe i dont know what im asking) ?
Hey I use adamant perk overhaul the second I added a perk point to my draw speed it ended up slowing my bow down even more than before I upgraded would anyone know a Fix or am i just missing something in terms of a patch?
Looks like the belt-fastened quivers patch is still necessary, I don't get the animations from the hip to work after changing the location of the quiver in the XP32 MCM
No, the patch still isn't necessary. If you are using XPMSSE (you should be), load this mod afterward it. Then open the MCM settings in XPMSSE and select Style Fitting Animations (All) as well as selecting Frosftall Quiver XP32. The animations will work fine.
Well this sucks, animations all work fine and look great, however, after being in combat for a few arrow shots, I CTD. I am sure it is just clashing with another mod but after testing I can not for the life of me figure out which ones. I am running pretty much all of the Vanargand, Leviathan and Geotia animation mods, as well as CGO and Valhalla combat mods. I have also recently discovered Precision causing CTD when using these weapon animation mods. After scouring the internet and this forum here all these mods should work together no problem. So as of now I am at a loss but any suggestion from anyone would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Still very jittery when I move with a bow drawn, not sure how to fix. No other animation mods other than true directional movement, changing the draw/sheathed settings from vanilla to directional in there doesn’t help either. All other animations from this mod are here except for the moving with drawn bow ones.
Ive been using this for my bow only character and it works great.
However, I was wondering if there are any mods that have a new animation set for when you unlock the ranger perk. This mod works great for the default move speed when you drawing an arrow but it doesn't match for the fast move speed with the perk applied .
