*New: fulfilled player wish for a no English version of festive plate.
*New: craft recipe book. This method helps reduce craft menu clutter. Simply craft 1 book, and when it is in inventory all recipes available at forge. Toss it, leave it at home, give it to a companion, and now craft menu clean.
Let me know if anything amiss. This mod is a collection of stuff I test in various sizes and colors. If you would like to see other variations let me know.
About me and this mod: Only returned to Skyrim 2 months ago after away for 2 years. Relearning things. Different computer without all my nice programs and stuff, yet modding drew me in again. Clutter--usually you don't bother with it due to the settings. You pick an item up, it flips upside down. Tedious. Corsafire1 talks about this in her mod here. Or you touch something, and it tumbles across the room. I'm bypassing some of these issues with the way I setup the models. The goal is to be hassle free and easy to use. Most homes/inns are decorated and not a lot of free space to add more clutter, so I have been limiting the mod to pieces that can be squeezed in. Also, I did a brief search for similar items, but didn't find anything. I don't know if there are any mods that offer the same things.
I used this in addition to some other mods that revamp the Breezehome and now it's so festive and cozy inside. Definitely makes me feel like it's Christmas time. Thank you!
Except for me having taken a trip around - Oblivion, FO3, FNV and no Skyrim. Having a lot of fun, much anger taking out the worst and best of myself I hope. I must admit I miss the days in Skyrim - The never appearing Soolie and all the helpfull souls that gave Skyrim a tremendous look and on ad on .. I see you are wipping up some christmas cream again and it seems better than ever. You are good Tcz! It is also good to have you around.
Great! Ah, somewhere the texture got blurry though, not sure if it was optimizer or something else I did recently. The new update has a few more models to it, did your texture suddenly get blurry?
Nope, everything else looks fine. just did the optimazing on the plates though, asthey were the only ones with textures not showing. They are fine now, too.
Thank you for these additions during the holidays.
I have a small request. Is it possible for you to change the card that displays "Merry Christmas" by "Merry Saturalia", Christmas does not exist in the Elder Scrolls, or even to propose it in several languages like in French "Joyeux Saturalia" or to propose a version without the printed card ?
Thanks in advance for your answer and Merry Christmas !
I'm glad to hear you are enjoying them! I have not forgotten your large tree request. My drawing skills are not good. If you provide an image, I may be able to change it. I had not released before, because I knew the language differences, sorry. Ideally, I would remove the card, but I don't have a modelling program on this computer yet. Haven't used those programs in a couple years, would have to relearn it, and I think the holidays will pass by then. I've only recently returned to Skyrim and modding, so I am limited in actions. Most of the items are from the game itself and free resources I am modifying through nifskope.
Thank you for allowing us to decorate our favorite game this holiday season ! For your information, I converted your mods to ESPFE very easily with SSEEdit.
Do you have any plans to make other decorative items like large Christmas trees with baubles that we could put up in the different cities ? If I put trees in the inns, won't the owners remove them ? The Christmas period only lasts a month, so your plugins are perfect to decorate the game and put it all away in a chest when the period is over.
You are welcome. From my test the item will not be removed when the 10 day respawn occurs. My test was in unmodified game. So no, the innkeeper won't remove. If placed where people walk, you may return to find items in new position. I've been working on Bards Reborn and work on this when I need a break from that mod. Hopefully done with that mod soon. I had not planned to make a bigger tree, might consider.?
Regarding other mods that add permanent Christmas trees to world--you might be able to make a duplicate of their plugin, then in SSEdit remove the world/cell edits to remove items from world while keeping item data, so that when holiday ends you drop in your duplicate plugin to overwrite as a replacement. That way items still in game but not in world. That was my thinking for those mods, have not tried it on SSE, I'd like to hear if anyone else does this.
Thank you. I would dream of being able to decorate my game with trees like in these mods, decorations that I could remove after the Christmas holidays. : Secret Saturalia Saturalia - Christmas in Skyrim SE A mod without the quests and that I don't have to uninstall after the holidays to not corrupt my savegame would be perfect. I do have "Holidays SE", the problem is that this mod is a bit dated and I have tree-less baubles that appear during Saturalia. There has never been a patch for The Great Cities Minor Cities and Towns which I have been using for a very long time. I won't be able to decorate my house this year for Christmas so if I can decorate my game instead, that's something.
It has been a long time since I looked at Saturalia mod, but I think on oldrim they have an 'after holiday' plugin. I guess the conversion author on SSE went inactive after the conversion and never finished converting files. Possibly someone else has done this though. Oddly, that person also hosts the Festive Christmas conversion.
The mod started with only the one file, the tree. Then a few others came swiftly. My progress stalled because the last month I was working on Bards Reborn. Originally, I had no plans to make a polished variety kit, just share some things I liked. The mod grew. If you like the items, you can ask for a full kit as esl. I don't know what people want unless they ask. I can only see what they download and what is popular. I've been thinking and testing some things in my spare time.
Sorry, some authors will freak out if you make requests so it's ingrained to be indirect and just highlight an issue, complaint, or "Would be nice if this or that existed" statement. I would be happy to see a combined and/or esl version.
I have just finished work on Bards Reborn and several patches, so you catch me at an ideal time. Combining everything is a little tedious/time consuming but not hard. It is because of the crafting. Surprising how many little items this becomes. I granted your wish, an all-in-one esl. There's some minor changes in it for those who might have some of the single files can still get some benefit from the all-in-one if they so desire. I should have more time to expand on the changes and upgrades soon.

Just a reminder to y'all, Jaxonz Positioner Converter will help you out with decorating and making sure things stay where you put them :)
Does this game pull us all back in? Yes, I think it does.

But the textures for the Festive Plates don't show.
Hmm, in my game they show, but I'll update the model through nif optimizer.
Thank you for this mod!
Edit: Oh and the meshes went down from about 240kb to 130kb.
