Okay, I'll post this here since I can't find an answer anywhere. I seem to have a problem with parallax on Skyrim AE 1.6. I can't seem to enable parallax in game no matter what I do. I installed SSE Engine Fixes and made sure to have BSLightingShaderParallaxBug=true in EngineFixes.toml and installed Part 2 by manually placing .dlls into Skyrim folder, I have Address Library for SKSE Plugins installed, I installed SSE Parallax Shader Fix (BETA) and yet when I try to use mods like Parallax Meshes for Obscure's College of Winterhold, I see College like this. I am so out of options, what the hell am I doing wrong?
Did you get this to work ? I'm at a loss, experiencing the same as you... As soon as I enable this mod, all textures disappears, except the first part of the bridge....
edit: Doesn't seem like these meshes support parallax ? I'm baffled... I even tried generating new meshes from the original mod, but still no. No problem generating parallax meshes from other mods though....
I had the exact same problem as you, and this specific mod is the culprit. Disabling it not only fixes the entire college being orange, but also gives you the parallax textures. I don't know what led me to download this mod (it was a long time ago). But it doesn't seem to do anything but cause this graphical bug.
Material object is the culprit here, you either need a mod that multipasses SnowMaterialWinterhold or just delete the single pass flag in xedit. This will then however not allow you to run multipass shaders on these objects, which if youre using parallax textures to begin with shouldnt be an issue
