I always felt like there should be an option to fill it with Jarrin Root poison (perhaps requiring you to craft said poison yourself first) for an unlimited supply of one-hit kills.

White Phial - Tweaks and Enhancements allows you to fill the White Phial with any liquid, which makes you able to do just what you suggest. Now all you have to do is become a master alchemist and make a powerful enough Damage Health poison to one shot almost anyone on Nirn. Maybe even use another mod to have re-obtainable Jarrin Root (Although you can technically use the unique Jarrin Root to craft the best poison that you can, fill the Phial with it, and then make sure that you never reset it)

And that bows are not part of the battle? One-handed and two-handed yes, but no bows. The mod doesn't make sense for archers. Even in the same Better White Phial Effects there is damage for the bow.

If you have CACO (Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul) it will overwrite this mod. Whenever I run LOOT, it will move this mod to load before CACO which leaves you with the default phials. If you load the esp for this mod after CACO, it seems to fix the issue.

Let me hear your suggestions about the strength and usefulness of the phial's new effects. I'm open to suggestions.

well mind if i make the suggestion? this mod is a great idea, but i feel there's just a tad more power in some of the effects than needs to be there. A suggestion for a.. i guess "nerfed" version of this mod i think would be good are as follows:

Healing: no curing all diseases, and make health regen 25% instead of 50%

Magic Resistance: Maybe make it slightly less straightforward. Maybe 20% to magic, and 10% to all elements (as that is where most magical abilities lie, with the elements)

Stamina: make the total stamina 100, and the regeneration 25%, and i think it'll be better suited.

i find the magical powers one just fine.

Strength andArmor: ther only thing i think should be changed is the point values. maybe 10% for light armor and 15% for heavy armor instead of just points... and failing that, maybe 20 for heavy armor at LEAST. it is supposed to be a hgher protection than light after all.

Stealth: maybe 15% would be a little less overpowered, and 45 seconds for invisibility. that's pretty powerful for a sneak potion.... considering usualyl sneak is OP in this game anyway

just my suggestion, but there you go. love the idea though, and may use it regardless

I was a bit iffy on the cure diseases on the health potion, since it could be problematic if you want to keep certain diseases. I've always seen regen as pretty weak which is why I set it so high.

As for magic resistance, would that effect not end up being almost the same in most situations? The very few situations where there'd be a difference would be when pure magic damage was involved which is pretty rare, unless using certain mods.

The stamina one was a bit difficult for me since I usually play casters so I was defiantly hoping for some input on that one.

For the combaty one I didn't see anything that just gave a raw increase to armor protection, not sure there is one. Which is why it went to point values. The reason they're equal is I wanted both light and heavy to feel like it was useful for them.

Stealth, well the 20% is actually what it had in vanilla just a much lower duration, which may be the reason it needs to be toned down. And the invisibility doesn't feel OP to me since once it's broken it's gone. But I may lower the duration all the same.

well, consider the health like this; on higher difficulties, the phial would be nigh unstoppable as a healing potion. in order to make the other effects more appealing, I figure tone down the healing. health being a VERY precious commodity on master and legendary, we may not want other effects of lesser need. if need be, how about fortify health by about 50 points or so, and regen being 30%?

I'm unsure how it works. I feel magic and elemental damage are both different, where you may get 30 in all magic, 20 in magic alone and 10 in one element may be less protection. I'm unsure how elemental works with magic in conjunction, and how the effects would be similar or different. so this one you'd know more than I do.

as someone who mains warrior or warrior/mage combo's, stamina is like Magicka to mages. using sword and shield, you'll someday be able to never run out of stamina in a normal fight, but be more tactical using it during a tougher fight. two handed is a much more demanding stance to take. but again, same with health, we need some form of lesser effect to make the other types viable. having so great stamina would make warriors a bit too powerful to play. seeing as it already has "fortify" the regen at 25 or 30% would be similar to health and be alright

I see. and I understand you wanted them to be equally effective, but the thing with armor is that heavy armor is supposed to be VERY tough. heavy armor is what you use for maximum protection, light armor is something you use to sneak around or become better at running around your enemy backstabbing. even as a light-armor warrior you're stamina and speed over protection is something you take advantage of. that's how I look at it anyway, so maybe I'm wrong but this is only a suggestion.

I didn't say invisibility was OP, I said sneaky characters are usually OP. lol. and having 20% and 60 seconds of invisibility both would be powerful as heck for such characters is all. the potion is very powerful but not OP levels.

I've uploaded a new version of the file with some tweaks. They're noted in the change log.

As for the adding a health fortify there always was one of 50 points but I had forgot to list it on the main description.

Trust me I know how important health is . I only play on legendary and a single well placed power attack from a two-hander ends me.

so the fortify was already there? lol then 30% would be fine, to keep the other effects somewhat viable compared.

and yeah, i am doing legendary with a SLIGHT tweak to outbound damage mod. player damage given i changed to 75%. still hard, but not unforgiving.

I wouldn't mind seeing a 10 minute duration version, rather than a 5 minute duration. Especially with the reduced effects.

I'll consider an extended duration version. It wouldn't take much work just have to find time to sit down with the CK for a few minutes.

I am honestly, truly sorry for necro-ing a VERY dead thread,

but what about buffing Archery along with the other combat buffs?

    Hey there!

I just wanted to let you know that I found your mod while looking for a totally different solution to a different problem. I'd already completed the Repairing the Phial questline, but I got a completely non-functional White Phial.

I downloaded and installed this mod hoping it would give me the option to fill it and use it, but it didn't work. I eventually just ended up using console commands to give myself the desired Phial, (Magic Resistance), and I can confirm that this mod works just fine with a console added Phial!

Now I have a real payoff to that quest. Thanks!

I've never heard of this issue. I only modified the stats of the potions, not the refill script itself. All I can suggest is reloading an earlier save and see if it happens again or adding a new phial via the console.

Can I make a suggestion? If it would be easy, you could update the Dragonborn's request text to be more appropriate for the effects. Specifically the "tougher in battle" and "deal more damage" aren't really accurate with the new effects. Maybe, "I want to increase my endurance" and "I want to be stronger in battle" would be more fitting?

Does this mod allow you to change the alignment of the Phial after picking one? When we find the Phial we get to pick, obviously there are some circumstances that allow it to be emptied and refilled with something else. It would be fantastic to be able to do so alongside your new buffs, as I agree the vanilla Phial is rather useless... I've see things that do this for Oldrim, but nothing yet for SSE and your description doesn't touch on changing the potion at all. If there is another option available, I haven't seen it, and I'd rather run one .esp for a single item instead of two anyway.

Thanks for the great looking mod!

Edit: I'm looking at the wiki and now I can't remember if you can change the effect in the vanilla game already? I apologize if this request is a bit foolish in that regard... but I'm still not sure to be honest... the wiki is not very specific and I'm not home to look at my game book (and my game is not currently in action).

I'm assuming you are referring to this mod, http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18594/? . I did consider adding this feature but I'd have to take a look at how Armada coded the script for the phial. It seems to be a script attached to activation of the empty phial, but I don't know how they grabbed the effects of the potion. It ends up delving into papyrus which I don't have any real experience with. But it is an update I have considered making. I need to contact Armada and see if I can use their code as a source or if it works on SSE just port it over as part of this mod.

We'll see! But your request isn't something I haven't thought of so it may be implemented.

Edit: I have contacted Armada and received a response okaying this. So I'll work on this this weekend. Shouldn't take too much hopefully.
