Finally got around to updateing the FOMOD! As of VRIK Version 0.8.2+Werewolf Body for VR.esp is no longer needed! Just the meshes and skeleton are needed, and no patches are necessary for werewolf overhauls anymore! :)
If it is ALOT of clipping, chances are something is overwriting the skeleton.nif. Check for conflicts or put WBfVR lower in your list.
If there is just a little bit of clipping on your face, you installed the selfie mode version and need to adjust your VRIK settings to compensate. See this picture:

Help, I'm an invisible werewolf! D:
You have a werewolf mod installed that enables the weight slider. WBfVR doesn't like this. Figure out which mod it is and disable the weight slider. If using Tamaska Werewolf for NPCs but NOT for yourself (Eg. you picked a werebear option), the FOMOD didn't auto-install the patch to disable Tamaska's weight slider. You can get this patch separately from Tamaska Werewolf's mod page, under optional files. If you did select TW in the FOMOD, be sure WBfVR is loading AFTER and overwriting TW.
My VRIK holsters keep disappearing! >:/
It's a bug on the VRIK side that's beyond my comprehension. :( Please wait patiently until werewolf is officially added to VRIK. It's purely cosmetic and holsters will still function as normal. They come back on their own eventually, or you can toggle their visual setting on and off in VRIK settings to get them back immediately.
the skeleton.nif is at meshes\actors\werewolfbeast\character assets the mesh you see in game is meshes\actors\character\character assets\1stperson_werewolf_hands.nif
I feel like I'm doing something wrong here - I can't fix the perspective/camera location no matter what VRIK (0.8.4) settings I mess with. The camera is stuck in between the shoulder blades and the neck always looks like it's sticking out of my chest.
So, I removed the werewolfbeast skeleton.nif from XP32 because that messed up the left hand in vanilla werewolf transformations for VR. Then I installed Moonlight Tales Mini (1.25) and Growl (3.0). I chose the vanilla mesh and default textures in Moonlight Tales Mini plus disabled any special animations.
Everything works fine until I install Werewolf Body for VR with default settings, then I get that weird camera perspective. Setting head forward and hide head distances up to 20 does not fix the issue at all.
Yep, I have it loaded pretty far down the list after any possible mod that would touch skeletons, MO2 isn't indicating any overwriting either. I full-on deleted the skeleton.nif from Xp32 because it was breaking vanilla werewolf transformations in VR (left hand stuck to headset movements). Please note, I was getting the same WBfVR problem both before and after deleting the skelton.nif from XP32.
For the heck of it I even tried WBfVR with a higher priority than the other mods and it changed nothing.
I also tried messing with the VRIK head settings in werewolf form, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything at all regardless of what number I choose.
If you were still getting the xp32 skeleton issues with WBfVR installed, sounds like the skeleton from WBfVR.. isnt getting installed? or disabled somehow? It should be overwriting the xp32 skeleton, which would avoid the issues with xp32 at least.
The Xp32 skeleton issues were without WBfVR enabled. So I got everything to work properly without WBfVR just to make sure the issue itself is with WBfVR and nothing else.
There are no MO2 overwrites or conflict warnings showing up at all in WBfVR. As in, it's not overwriting anything, and it's not being overwritten by anything either. I downloaded and installed through Nexus/MO2 - so maybe I need to do it manually instead? I'll give that a try and see how it goes.
No luck :( I found an old 2022 thread on here with someone having the same issue and their resolution was installing ver. 1.0. That fixed the weird camera placement but then you have to deal with stretchy shoulders that make interacting with objects tough. Oh well, I guess I will have to go with floating WW hands for now.
No worries, I super appreciate your responsiveness and help either way! I might mess with it some more in the future and will let you know if I ever figure it out. Thanks again!
I am actually having this same issue where I am stuck over the right thigh view point wise and my left hand doesnt work at all. Also my hands don't look as good as the images?
Hey i just had this issue like literally 5 minutes ago, after some fiddling about i got it working properly by rolling back PLANCK to an older version. Dunno why it worked all i know is it did for me, might be worth a try, hope it helps.
Ok I am having the same issues as someone else here and should this not be after xp32? See I am getting my viewpoint stuck over the right thigh and stuck with only one arm I was using it in load order after xp32 before but just realized would it not be better other way?
Werewolf works for combat and feeding. Werebear may just have been broken because a werebear mod broke the whole thing and removing it might not have fixed everything.
*Tested new save with Werebear body. Attacks worked but feeding didn't
Final update, feeding works just not on NPC werewolves.
yay progress! Maybe eating werewolves requires the eat anything perk? or is that with the perk? either way, i dont think thats a problem that could be caused by this mod.. but im no expert at how everything works, so who knows @.@
When i install the mod, and select GROWL as my werewolf addon, I do not get a separate patch .esp or plugin for the GROWL-Patch to enable. Is this intended?
Ah, in that case I am confused. My werewolf body is all messed up during beast mode: my camera is behind the entire thing by like 3ft. and the head stretches back to meet it. I assumed it was a clash with GROWL. What's going wrong?
Strange, if using FUS it should just work.. 0.8.2 vrik should be fine. Most common conflict is skeleton mods like xp32 maxmum skeleton. If you double click it in modorganizer, you can see if anythings overwriting it in the conflicts tab. If there's no conflict then i'm confused.. are there any mods that would make werewolf use a different skeleton? O.o I can't think of any, but i'm probably out of date with mods
Yep no conflicts, and I am using no skeleton mods as far as I know. I only have FUS mods + GROWL, so I don't know of anything else which might be doing it.
My FUS install never seemed to work fully, so maybe it's just that though. It's very odd: the whole Werewolf body looks great, but my head is way way too far behind it: I can see the whole model in 3rd person almost.
i spent hours trying to get this to work. it looks amazing i have followed all the instructions and just cant get it to function correctly.
I am using tamaska bodies. and growl, and XP32
I chose all of those in the options. while installing this mod. i get these bugs;
- when picking up things with the RIGHT HAND ONLY the fingers deform into the hand
- when sprinting, both index fingers bend in a weird way
- after leaving a cell, and reloading while being a werewolf, i can no longer swing attack anything (and i think is related) when i try to interact/grab, i CAN pickup items. but my hand/arm is far back into my body, (behind where my camera is - if i look down i see my arm/hand behind me almost)
- my camera starts off fine, then when i move, it goes behind the wolf, so it's almost 3rd person, as other people have reported here
i REALLY want this mod to work, help would be appreciated.
I also do use SOS but not SOS werewolf or any other mods that affect werewolf. I looked in xedit, and there's nothing conflicting, I have looked/adjusted my load order a thousand times, nothing seems to make any difference.
For the finger issues, I think i have the setting in VRIK to move fingers turned off. nothing else i can do to fix this, no clue how first person animations work :/
For the arm going back into the body.. it sounds like the issue xp32 ww skeleton was causing, but if the skeleton from wbfvr is overwriting it, it should be fixed.. O.o Maybe reinstall wbfvr to make sure its overwrighting xp32?
For the camera going behind the wolf, sounds like what happens if the werewolf race entry is overwritten, maybe try putting wbfvr/tamaska werewolf esps as far down your load order as you can? but if you see no conflicts in xedit, im not sure why it shoudlnt be working D: tho i have no idea how Nemesis works if that would affect anything. :s
i'll continue to see what I can do, i really do want to play with this mod!
weirdly the left hand works absolutely perfectly, i can grip items, just like in regular human form, and it works fine, just so strangely that, when i use the right hand, it WORKS ok... but all the fingers morph back into the hand, kinda shrinking .. its bizarre .
I will work backwards, disabling ALL mods and see if i can play around and get anything working.
unfortunately i've tried all your suggestions, tamaska + werewolf VR were at the lowest in my load order, and still nothing
I appreciate your reply, and i'll report back, if i manage to make any progress
Yes its fine to use the vanilla skeleton instead, you just wont have the xp32 functionality for werewolves. Glad its working a little better now at least!
The bending/twisting fingers during running is a vanilla Skyrim bug. It has nothing to do with this mod or with VRIK. We can see it after installing VRIK because VRIK makes us see the vanilla body and thus see this bug. You can fix it by installing this amazing mod: Pristine Vanilla Movement
Hey, a quick question regarding the esp. You say it's not needed anymore, which is definitely nice, although when I remove the manbeast patch there's a esp that only adds ActorTypeNPC to the WerewolfBeastRace and I wonder what exactly does that do and whether that is still needed, because "Vampire Body for VR" also does exactly this for the vampire race.
The reason it's not needed is that there is no need to add ActorTypeNPC keyword to that race anymore. VRIK now uses player race formid checks for both Vampire Lord and Werewolf states.
Will this fix the CTD caused by Schlongs of Skyrim when transforming in and out of werewolf form? That's honestly all I care about. I don't even wanna be a werewolf but the companions require it to finish the storyline.

I've put it after VRIK, and GROWL, I don't know what else would be affecting it though.

Anyone else have the issue of not being able to do power attacks in ww form using FUS?
Please help!!

the vanilla version seems to function mostly as intended.
I tried what you said, and turned off hand animation in VRIK - weirdly the hand still morphs into itself, just on the right hand, when i pickup items?
but other than that, things mostly seem to work
Glad its working a little better now at least!

Just translating for anyone that needs this in English. :)
