    Encountering neck seams? Texture issues?

You should be using a skin texture that corresponds to the skin texture you selected in the installer (you should install the CBBE Bijin Skin if you install the Snow Elf Bijin Skin etc). If you do not use a skin texture that corresponds to the one you selected in the installer, you will certainly get graphical bugs such as neck seams or discoloration.

If installing the correct skin texture doesn't work, or if you want to use your own skin texture, you can try one of the following solutions:

I want to use my own skin texture.

    * Replace my mod's skin textures with the skin textures your vanilla races are using. There are instructions on how to do this in the main mod's description under Customization.

My Snow Elves look like they're using an ugly, discolored version of the vanilla skin.

    * Overwrite the contents of the main mod with the contents of the Skin Patcher.  If you are a Mod Organizer 2 user, this should be as easy as dragging the Essentials Patcher's mod folder below the Ancient Falmer's folder in the left-hand pane of MO2.

If you are a Vortex user, this slightly more complicated because Vortex doesn't give users the necessary control to modify their load order. If you're using Vortex, you need to open the Skin Patcher's mod folder, copy its contents, and paste them inside the Ancient Falmer's mod folder, and overwrite them when prompted. This will manually-overwrite the Ancient Falmer's textures.

Easily my favorite custom race mod. I just wish I could figure out how to make it work with the Pretty Face For Men mod. I want my snow elf to look young.

Hello! Love your mod idea, love the thought and effort put in, dying to play it.

Just having one issue, and that's of course with the body texture. I did everything I'm pretty sure. Matching installed textures with what I had running, all that. Patcher loaded below the main file, all that.

And left like that, I had a massive color mismatch between head and body. When I piped the patcher's textures into the main file, same thing. Loading my own body textures did make it seamless, but then broke the coloring. I think I've covered all the usual takes, but wondered if you had any other possible ideas there.

Thanks for all the hard work, I'm going to keep trying to get this fixed and find a way, I badly want to play this!

Thanks for playing :) What skin textures are you using? Fair Skin texture has some issues I can't figure out.

Hi! I didnt know where else to post this so I decided that the patch post would be a good place to comment. Im trying to play this race as a vampire, but everytime my race changes to vampire my head goes invisible? like just eyes and mouth and nothing else. I'm using the highpoly head patch as well as the vampire face fix from the original high poly head, I'm also using AE racemenu. Is there something wrong on my end?

It might be a problem with my highpoly head patch. I can't check right now because I'm on extended vacation, but you can try testing this by disabling the highpoly head mod and the falmer patch, and see if your character's head is still missing. If not, then there's probably an issue with my high poly head patch.

Hi! Just tested it out without the highpolyhead and the falmer patch and the head is still missing for some reason. Changing the facepart from highelf to snow elf makes the face really horrifying to look at. Heres a link to the two outcomes I get when turning into a vampire. I use better vampires and I have my load order sorted properly https://imgur.com/a/10Z4z6K

Found the culprit (probably) and it's the BVLT plugin. If you delete that entirely then vampires bodies should work again.

It is no longer supported due to mod conflicts and the fact that I literally forgot about it and haven't updated it in years.

i managed to track down SG and it fixed the Valrysa issue, but vyrthur still looks like his face is too dark compared to the rest of him and has white hair as opposed to the picture's dark hair

this was after i removed his helmet which was making it hard to tell during the fight

    Hello!
I have a question regarding the skin color for Valrysa.
I installed the main mod and the patch, so far so good.
But when I went to Silverblood inn to recruit Valrysa, her skin was dark blue instead of the light blue like in the images provided in the main mod. The skin color for Ashian it's what it should be, like in the images.

The link for the photos to provide a more clear message

    Photos

Also another problem, the Ivory glass weapons are not shown in the followers inventory. Same problem for both.
    The last picture in "Photos"

It will mean a lot to me if you could answer my questions on how to fix these issues.
Thanks in advance! The mod is amazing!!! Keep up the Good Work!!!! <3

Hi! This bug tends to happen if you are missing the required hair mod for the follower. Are you using the original KS Hairdos mod or the KS Hairdos HDT SMP version? If you are using the HDT version then there will be a facegen mismatch due to the missing assets. You must use the original mod. But, seeing as you messaged me for the SG Hairs, I think once you install SG Hairs, that will fix it. All you need to do after installing SG Hairs is reinstall the mod and select Val's SG Hairs option so she actually uses the correct hair.

Hey there! I am using Skysight skin and I was glad to see this mod uses those skins as well, but there is only one option. I am going for a specific character build and this mod uses the skysight skin with body hair, is it possible for a version without body hair? Or is there a way I can switch up some files in order for the ancient falmer to have no body hair?
Sorry to bother. Love the mod :)

Hello, there is currently no option to customize the installation exactly like the original skylight skins Mod.

What you can do however is replace the mod's textures with the Skysights skin textures you are using. You can find instructions on how to do this in the main mod's description under "Customization".

Hey, every time I try to install the mod so I can download the full Ancient Falmer mod, it keeps reinstalling itself and asking me to replace the existing mod or install as a variant. Every time I cancel the new installation, it keeps doing it anyway. What should I do?

Hello, have you installed the Skin Patcher before? If so, then delete the previous version and do a fresh install.

If you are having a problem with downloading the mod, then it's a problem with Nexus. If you are downloading via your mod manager, try downloading it manually and installing the mod with the .zip package you downloaded.

Hi, I've recently added the Falmer Snow Elf mod and am getting a missing plugin message on NMM and loot: TAF-TLD Unified Fertility mod fixes Patch ESP, Deep Elf Fertility mode Fixes Patch missing.  Any ideas?

Hello, the Unified Patch enables compatibility with the Deep Elf FM patch, if you are using the Snow Elf FM patch. If you are not using my deep elf race mod, or the deep elf FM patch, then you should not install the unified patch.

Any chance of expanding this to include compatibility with the non-SOS Better Males?  I have this patch for the Falmer NPCs but can't seem to get it to apply to my Snow Elf main character:

I'm honestly sick of looking at penises, and don't want to make anymore male texture/mesh patches for my mods.

If you want to use these textures with my mod, you can just overwrite my mod's textures with them. Please see the main mod's description for instructions under Customization.

You know, I can respect that.  Can't seem to get the overwrites to take, believe me I tried. Since I also pay a lot more attention to the female anatomy in these games, though, I guess I'm just going to take what the engine spits out for what it is.  Appreciate your quick response

Going through the patcher steps and not seeing any option on the male skin textures to not select either SOS or never nude options, is SOS or NeverNude a hard requirement? Did not see them listed as requirements if so

I can't seem to get the mod to work at all. the race/main mod is fine, but the body textures are extremely badly mismatched and just not right.
I do not have a plugin for load order in my list for the skin patcher so I cannot set it to load after the main mod, but it did allow me to overwrite the main mod with the skin patcher's files.

I have tried everything I can think of to get the textures to work. Instead I am stuck with the right face/head, but the body being vanilla tones with a slight blue tint.

If you're using Vortex, you may not be able to do this, but in MO2 you can rearrange the folders of mods so that they overwrite each other. If you can't do that, then you can open the Skin Patcher, copy all of its contents, and drop it into the main mod's folders, then select yes when prompted to overwrite.

Thanks for the reply. nothing seems to be working sadly. I've tried manually moving the files over to the main mod's folder and replacing, I've tried having the skin patch overwrite the main mod when installing through a mod manager. Not my first rodeo with a mod not working as it should, but it being just a texture problem is new for me.

      https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/415537538158034955/955617888784490516/20220322100402_1.jpg

Sadly, that's the best I could get the textures.
Male snow elf has the same issue, I use skysight skins in general so picked that texture, and I use bijin unp skin so picked that for female. the body for both is fine (with and without clothes) outside of the lack of the snow elf texture that the faces are using properly, so the colour is completely mismatched.
It's honestly a pity, I've always adored your textures.
I'll chalk it up to a personal problem, I'm certain I'm missing something I'm just not sure what.

Found the problem. The Ancient Falmer Race mod is using my vanilla race body textures regardless of what I overwrote the mod's textures with, but was using it's own 'self contained' head texture files as normal from it's mod folder.
So that explains my attempts at replacing or overwriting the mod's texture files not working in the slightest. I had to replace the body texture for all actors/npcs/characters in my game to get it to work on my character.
Unfortunate as I'm not going to play with every npc in the game having snow elf body textures, but glad I narrowed down what it was doing.

That cannot be possible. Snow elf bodies are directed to use my custom textures, not the user's textures. This is why overwriting the main mod's textures with the Skin Patcher's contents is the only way to fix this.

The only way I can think of that can cause what's happening in your screenshot is if you have my mod's plugins enabled, but its mod folder (i.e. all of its assets) are disabled.

I assure you I didn't think it should work that way either (the mod using my vanilla textures), I had previously installed everything correctly, checking multiple times, and I do not know or understand how that happened.
After taking a long break to play other games I don't know what happened but I uninstalled a handful of mods (immersive college of winterhold and some player homes) , none of which touch this mods files of course, and I got the opposite issue (body textures correct for the mod, face not, so I reinstalled the textures since I'd replaced the head files with my vanilla faces to get it to match the body textures it decided to use instead and it's all working again.

Definitely chalking up to a personal problem with some unknown cause from a conflict.

Glad you got it figured it out. What mod manager are you using? It's really easy to detect random mod conflicts with MO2 as it highlights conflicting mods. You can also use SSEEdit to check plugin conflicts.
