My load order have both (A) Solitude Expansion and (B) The Haven From the Cold and Dark I do not have any problem concerning these two mods... You can try placing (A) after (B) in the load order...
The Haven From the Cold and Dark - only placed a ship in an empty Dock area for teleport, which Solitude Expansion does not change anything there...
Don’t use this mod on any serious save. It nukes Dawnguard and seriously messes up the Prophet quest. If anyone is having issues with Serana not showing up at Fort Dawngaurd chances are this mod is in their rotation. ArizonaSteve made a solid patch for it, but unfortunately for me the damage is done and even console commands can’t salvage my save. The mod itself is a wonderful concept but not something that should be in a playthrough, definitely worth walking through on a quarantine save.
I did a little work on this mod today. Removed most of the wild edits and extraneous junk that was there (and confirmed the Dawnguard quest "Prophet" now starts up correctly). I also spent some time navmeshing the northern island and a few of the buildings that had no navmesh. Nothing more heartbreaking than seeing a bunch of my followers standing forlorn near the bridge too afraid that they'll get lost.
Sadly it looks like the mod author no longer frequents the Nexus. With their permission I'd be more than happy to upload my updated version.
Hey ArizonaSteve, Did you happen to fix the single error: ?MrPrimigenius "Mr Primigenius" [NPC_:051E0054]NPC_ \ VMAD - Virtual Machine Adapter \ Scripts \ Script \ Properties \ Property \ Value \ Object Union \ Object v2 \ FormID => [051F95BE] < Error: Could not be resolved >? The Script Property which causes this error is called "TheStrandedMammoth". Any idea what that could be?
I don't understand why permission from the original author would be necessary for a patch that contains needed fixes. If the original mod author reappears and requests it be taken down then you can oblige them, but at this point I think that would be very unlikely. This mod is effectively abandoned, and without fixes I will not download it, and it neither will many others judging by the comments. The original author clearly put in extensive work to create this mod (4-5 hrs per day for a year according to the sticky). Fixes are necessary to do their hard work justice.
I think this mod is well dead and abandoned, creator having been gone for so long. You should publish your fixes, i'd love to redownload this mod without destroying my game and having to deal with all kinds of issues it used to have. Would be awesome if someone optimized it better too, i remember it nuking my fps back in the day.
I am the original Nevah man, my 1st email is gone, so now so is my Old Nexus Profile. Feel free to do what ever you want with the mod man. I appreciate the fixes.
Thank you Sir! I love this mod and have been using it (with my fixes) for years. I'll try to get this posted up this weekend and see if there are any other quick fixes I can apply at some point in the future.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD IF YOU INTEND TO PLAY THE DAWNGUARD DLC, fucks up the "Prophet" quest, no matter how much you tinker, it will not fix it, 52h wasted because of this s#*!, you'll have to make a new game
what if I make a save A, install this, finish this, uninstall this, go back to save A? (as I do for any mod I won't keep btw) It will anyway make mess in the game? does it edit base game files and leave them dirty or what?
This is probably an odd question: Is all the music in this mod new music, and if so, is it on YouTube? I love Celtic music, and this mod has some of the best ambient music I've heard in a long time. EDIT: Nevermind, I found out how to convert the xwm files to wav. God bless Celtic music.
Replying since I was checking in on the mod, the mod hasn't been updated since 2016 and will NOT work without heavy editing on the user's part and even then it's 50/50. Just posting this in case anyone else comes across it.
I had this mod in my load order from the start of my playthrough, so when I read about the problems with Dawnguard I immediately opened the plugin in xEdit and removed all the unnecessary edits to vanilla records. I basically only left in anything that was related to the airship at Ilinalta, the ship in Solitude and the couple windchimes, everything else I threw in the bin. When I did this I had accepted the first Dawnguard quest, and visited the valley, but hadn't talked to Isran yet. I just completed the whole of the Dawnguard questline, and the only problem I had was Valerica and Serana failing to move into the boneyard properly, so I had to console them in.
I have no idea how this mod broke the questline though, because none of the changes I removed seemingly had anything to do with Dawnguard, although there were some crazy things like removing a door and placing an identical copy in its place. As such I wouldn't call this a definitive fix, I might have just gotten lucky. Still, might be worth a try if you really like this mod and don't mind the risk of having a broken DLC.
Edit: I read megamaster4000's bug report on the issue, in which he mentions a quest alias related to the innkeeper in solitude, and now I actually do remember that there were some edits related to a few NPCs in Winking Skeever, including Corpulus Vinius. So if this was indeed the cause, I feel a bit more confident that removing these edits could be the solution to make the questline functional again.
Really beautiful new land mod especially with fully a modded skyrim and enb on. The problem is there a massive fps drop in the area with all the shops and stuff. It might be expected with the detail that goes on around there and the old crappy engine. My specs are ryzen 5600x and rtx 3070 and I'll get drops from a stable 70-90 to 40-30 fps and huge stuttering

this mod breaks prophet quest of dawn guard. Permanently ruins your save. Uninstall and save clean do not work.
Got to lvl 38 and had to start a new character. Save yourself the pain and dont install this mod, or at least finish the DLC first!
Still "SSEEdit v4.0.2 found 3996 ITM records and 3 deleted navmeshes." (LOOT).
