This mod fixes a number of minor and more significant issues with The Haven from the Cold and Dark.

Two years ago I made a bunch of fixes to The Haven from the Cold and Dark. I absolutely loved the mod but there were a number of issues that bothered me, so I spent a couple of afternoons working on it. Figuring that others would be interested I sent a message to the mod's author - NevahNevah - requesting permission to post my updated esp.

Fast forward to a few days ago, when I received a message from the author giving their blessing. I know a bunch of people have messaged me requesting that I post my fixes to Nexus, but I wanted to follow the rules and respect the process.

It's been a while, but here's a list of the things that I remember fixing.

  • The Dawnguard quest "Prophet" works correctly with these fixes installed.
  • I navmeshed the last island in the chain and a couple of buildings there too. As the resident followerholic on this board I didn't like that my followers couldn't enjoy the island with me.
  • I added a lod file for the airship as it disappeared and only the mooring post was visible from a distance. Now I am completely clueless with lod meshes, so I took the airship mesh, removed the collision and called it a day. I don't anticipate any performance impact as there is only one airship in the worldspace. You will need to run DynDOLOD or something similar to make this work.
  • I added support posts to some of the windchimes or moved then under overhangs (Whiterun, Markarth and High Hrothgar are the ones I remember) as they were suspended in mid-air.

I am happy to consider additional fixes, but I will not make wholesale changes to the mod as I want to respect Nevah's vision.
