    the tutorial is too confusing and i end up with a broken map because i cant understand what do i need to do, theres not even a plugin for this mod that i can overwrite the main flat map mod with, using vortex.
    what am i doing wrong.

    When I use this retex, the map seems a bit too bright. What would account for that brightness? I don't think it's the ENB, because it still looks bright even with it off. Is there any way the brightness of the map could be reduced somehow? Or is it the texture that needs darkening?
    I'm just curious why it doesn't look like the screenshots provided here.

      any skyrim map (which is 3d space with its own weather) relies on weather/climate and related lighting to look properly. that's why some weather overhauls (like vivid or nat) requires patch for it. newer versions of framework have those included.

      its required for Flat Map Markers SSE on which we rely for proper markers z-positioning.
