I cannot make patches without permissions. Unlike this mod, most authors do not grant the community open permissions to modify their assets. Before you ask for a patch for mod xyz, check if the author of xyz allows other authors to make patches. If not, ask them to grant permissions.

Embers XD often changes its texture paths, which breaks existing compatibility patches. This mod is compatible with latest embers XD as of v2.8.6+. If you encounter issues, you might need to update your embers XD.

Hey, it seems that the UV for the forgewall in blacksmithforgemarker.nif is not set correctly. Usually this is not noticeable with many stonewall retextures, but I am using one which uses bricks and you can clearly see the issue then:
Rotating the UV about -90.00 solves the issue (but I dont know if this is the correct way to do it, since I am no texture guy, lol):
BTW: I am using the Embers XD version. I dont know if the other versions are affected as well.
I tested it some time ago, Embers XD 2.9.7 and 2.9.8 worked fine letting this mod win the conflict between the two. I didn't test it with the new Embers XD 3.0.1
The Embers XD meshes need updating. The embers are misplaced in your meshes (you can see holes in the forge) compared to the meshes in the newest version of that mod.
Sure. I'll use the Warmaiden's forge in Whiterun as an example, here are how your meshes look (no circles should be necessary, I think):
Hopefully the screenshots work. As you can see, there's a hole in the first screenshot and in the second the embers aren't aligned properly with the forge (you can see the floor at the bottom, when the embers should be covering it all up, all the way to the walls). For comparison, here's how the Embers XD meshes look:
The first hole is still there, but a lot less visible (the embers are placed a bit higher, basically). And there's no alignment issue at all, the forge is entirely covered. There also seems to be a shader issue (I think?) in your meshes, the bottom part of the rocks at the top of the forge are glowing when it's not the case in Embers XD's meshes.
BTW, I'm not using the ElSopa meshes, these are the vanilla option.
As ElSopa's Anvil replaces the forge too, but most texture replacers miss the top stone of the forge, I recommend Vanilla Forge Stone Top as well (4K is used in my picture, combined with CleverCharff's Farmhouse texture).
Tried myself to do this to the normal 'HorseThrough01.nif' file. Everything looks like in the forge, but still there is no animated water...it stays static.
Any idea what could be missing/why it won't work the same way.
Maybe you would consider to patch the horsetrough, too?
newest update of embers XD Ver 2.9.3 some how broke the water either place it before or after this mod. Edit The problem Skyland Blacksmith, Embers XD update making it not compatible anymore.
odd you say that i have elsopas anvil, embersxd and this..it was working.embers xd got an update...and then it AFW stopped working...i have animated forge water overwriting both anvil and ember..but no joy
your mods are very great , love them. i hate the static wavelike forge water. i decided to use this mod. but ,suddenly! oh! water in a box animates??? no, it is not realistic. but the vanilla wavelike is also not realistic. so make water plane maybe better.
Not using an ENB and sticking with the vanilla water textures, Animated Forge Water (this mod) appears almost completely opaque and often looks more like liquid metal than water. While the mod listed above blends very well with the vanilla look, it unfortunately doesn't work properly everywhere (Hearthfire cellars, for eg), whereas this one seems to (and fixes a few bugs to boot).
