To anyone having questions about compatibility or anyone requesting patches:
You can easily generate a patch using zedit visual transfer: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23254
1. First, make sure the NVICO esp files (check both townies and bandits!) are loaded very early (or as high as possible) so other esp files will overwrite NPC records. If you are using LOOT or Vortex you can add a rule for any conflicting esp file so it loads after the NVICO esp files. Or better yet, in vortex, set the esp files to the group "early loaders". 2. Run zEdit with NPC visual transfer module installed, open the patcher settings for NPC visual transfer and enter the esp file names for NVICO. 3. Build the patch. You can check if the visual settings for each NPC are transferred correctly by opening the record for each NPC in the zedit patch and comparing the headparts, face morph and face parts sections.
This method can also be used to generate mod specific patches, like for immersive citizens - AI overhaul. Just enable only the NVICO and AI overhaul esp files and use a different zedit patch file name (like NVICO - AI Overhaul.esp).
If that seems too complicated then this mod can also solve the problem without patching it in XEdit/ZEdit - Face Discoloration Fix. A different method for mixing and matching NPC overhauls is NPC - NPC Plugin Chooser which is a Synthesis patcher. EasyNPC seems to be another method to mix and merge your various NPC overhauls using only ZEdit.
As far as I can tell this doesn't work for Male NPC's almost at all. It'll change their hair, but not their faces. Seems to work fine for Females. Haven't been able to figure out why, nothing is overriding the files.
*EDIT* NPC's require skin additional textures not included in this mod. Would be helpful if that was added to the description somewhere I think. Mod works fine.
Hey, I'm having issues getting this mod to work and I've tried just about every troubleshooting method short of just asking about it here. I'm completely new to modding so if this is the wrong place to ask, just direct me the right way and i'll move.
I have tried multiple times to get this mod to work, and it just... NEVER does, and I think it has something to do with RaceMenu, as RaceMenu has never worked for me no matter what I do to it. Here is my mod list, in no particular order.
USSEP
Address Library for SKSE Plugins Anniversary
Alternate Conversation Camera
High Poly Heads (downloaded from offsite, made sure to grab the SE version)
Armor Variants Expansion
Racemenu
KSE Hairs Lite NO NPC
Face Discoloration Fix
Cutting Room Floor
Guards Armor Replacer + Housecarls Patch
All of the required Expressive FaceGen mods + Conditional Face
ApachiiSky Hairs
I have literallly disabled EVERY OTHER MOD in my load order, and it still doesn't work. Please help :(. The only lead I've gotten is that it might POSSIBLY be because I'm playing on the Anniversary Edition
I'm an xbox player who would like to propose a porting of the generic npc files (bandit guards etc.) of this mod to bethesda.net.do I have your permission?thanks in advance for the reply
Yes, this mod doesn't have any included textures/bodies of its own (apart from facegen files), so it'll use whatever bodies and textures you have installed.
For anyone who encounters this issue, I was able to fix it by updating the AI Packages for the Wyrmstooth NPCs in xEdit, as the HPH patch references an older version of Wyrmstooth.
If you are familiar with xEdit, simply check each NPC in the HPH plugin and copy over the AI Packages from the main Wyrmstooth plugin so that they match. That will fix the ILS on launch, though there are other benign edits to the NPCs that you will have to check for yourself.
