How easy is it to switch between types so it matches helmet in-game? And could you add a basic spectacle visor as well, since it's by far the most common helmet type in the game...?

It's a manual out of the game text file edit atm, not a fancy MCM.  Might spend some more time working on this....

I spent hours modding my partners game out so he could try a beautifully modified skyrim vr... and then he got so motion sick he does 15 minutes here and there and often has to quit.  lol... I'm gonna see if he'll try this out. I might just use it because I'd enjoy the immersion. Awesome mod!

I like the immersion factor here. Good in its own right.

What follows I offer not as a criticism of your work but as an option for those like me who have experienced motion sickness in game.

Motion sickness comes from conflicting visual and inner ear inputs to the brain. With car sickness it's because the inner ear is telling the brain there's movement but the eyes aren't. That's why people who get car sick often do better if they sit in the front. More visual data.

VR is the opposite. Your eyes are telling your brain that there is movement but your inner ear is telling it otherwise. Same outcome though.

For me personally, the most effective solution is Natural Locomotion with the controller based direction setting. It means you have to actually change direction irl in order to change direction in game.

Agreed, NaLo fan myself. My testers who had varying levels of VR legs all agreed it helped them and preferred over VR's radial option. Cheers

Yeah I always used controller based locomotion. I have no idea how anyone uses head based.

What a great idea! I don't get motion sickness but I might try this out for immersion purposes

Haha. This reminds me of many moons ago (before VR) when I had a mod just like this for Morrowind!

Now all we need is someone from VRIK or hIGGs or you to make it so that we can use our hands and 'PULL' our helmet off and on when we like in real time. Why do I get the feeling it's doable?

p.s. Good call not having inner helmet detail. You won't see that anyway. i tried a medieval helmet once with a coif outside in sunny weather  and in all that you can't see the inside of your helmet.

God I hope so, that would be amazing. Until then helmet toggles from flatrim will have to work

Pretty Awesome for a first mod! Keep going my friend! I'm definitely gonna try this one out!

I'm sure it would be a lot of work, or maybe not possible since it involves ENB. But I would love to see something like this get applied and removed when putting on, and taking off a helmet. And/or different shapes for different helmets! That would be really immersive!
