About this mod

Compatibility patch to get Surjamte's brilliant Capital Windhelm Expansion and JPSteel's awesome City Entrances Overhaul - Windhelm to work together.

What this patch does, in more detail:
  • Updated City Entrances Overhaul bridge mesh with cut-outs for Windhelm Expansion harbour stairs. Thanks so much to kiberme for this updated model with correct collision. Give them some kudos!
  • Repositions harbour stairs and stone busts to fit with new bridge model.
  • Repositions Windhelm Expansion bridge placements (market stalls, npcs, clutter, etc.) as the new bridge model from City Entrances Overhaul is quite a bit higher than the vanilla bridge, so all the merchants and clutter added by Capital Windhelm Expansion were just hovering around underneath the new bridge model. Well actually the merchants fell to their deaths. But not anymore!
  • Blends navmesh and collision from both mods.

Installation:
  • Make sure you have both Capital Windhelm Expansion and City Entrances Overhaul - Windhelm installed and active. I'd also reccomend grabbing the banners fix for City Entrances, but you can ignore the navmesh fix as this patch changes navmeshes.
  • Use MO2 or Vortex or other mod manager of your choice to install this mod.
  • Load order should be:
WindhelmEntranceOverhaul.esp
WindhelmSSE.esp
WindhelmEntranceOverhaul WindhelmSSE Patch.esp (this mod)

NOTE: Incorrect load order will result in landscape issues at best, and probably CTDs at worst. LOOT may not sort these correctly as above, so please check and re-order manually if needed!

It should be okay to install this patch mid-playthrough, however a few things use 'Persistent' records from the original mods. Specifically, installing mid-playthrough may mean merchants don't stand in the correct place on the bridge (VendorIdleMarkers) and the harbour stairs may not be positioned quite correctly.

Highly recommended to re-run DynDOLOD or xLODGen so you get the correct LOD model for the new bridge static.

Compatibility:
May not work with other mods that make changes around the Windhelm city gate, bridge, and stables.
