I just heard a guard say "I know you're in the thieves guild, and so do the other guards." I think you missed that line

Should be covered. I can double check but make sure it's as low as possible in the load order.

I haven't been on skyrim since before the anniversary update so I have no idea if this mod needs to be updated for that, but I would guess no.

does it prevent them from knowing stuff or does it just do the dialog?

It just prevents the voice lines from activating.

I feel like it makes sense, if the guard is worshiping Sithis then they are probably a DB ally and would know who you are

Wow how am I just now finding this? This bothered me for so long, thank you lol

I try so hard to use invisibility so that no one sees me go into the honorhall orphanage and then the guards have the audacity to say that sh*t to me and I get so annoyed lmao

Yeah, it never made sense to me how they would even know it. And even if they did they would be more likely to arrest me rather than say a quick line and forget about it.

      I'm glad you like it!

Thank God someone finally made a mod like this, and it only took oh...10 years or so to fix a problem that shouldn't have existed in a proper RPG game in the first place. I would have really liked to have been a fly on the wall to see the reasoning of Todd Howard's team to include such idiotic dialogue options. You would have thought that they would know what the concept of super secret organizations are. It's also equally nice to have dialogue penalties for stupidly wearing your thieves guild and brotherhood armors right in the faces of guards. (exasperated sigh) Someday, Bethesda may actually be able to understand how a secret underground organization  works, or at the very least figure out the basics for it. Hopefully they'll figure it out in time for Elder Scrolls 6, though I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to occur. Fortunately we'll always have modders like yourself with wonderful mods like this to pick up Bethesda's slack.
P.S. Thanks for fixing the Sinding dialogue line too. That one also got on my nerves as well, I mean there were other guards in the room with you who saw how everything transpired...and yet they still made those asinine comments, yet never tried to arrest you. Thanks for helping to preserve my sanity in dealing with Bethesda created dialogue options.

      Haha, no problem!

Yeah, these voice lines have been bothering me for a while, and I'm just getting more comfortable editing and creating in SSEEdit so I figured I'd try my hand at making this. Glad you like it!

What I'd like to know is, why do super secret illegal organizations have an obvious uniformin the first place??? It bothers me so much.......but hey, this mod's a good start with the dialogue at least. Thanks! :)

Now if you can get various random NPCs to stop commenting on my status in the Brotherhood, that would really make me feel like I belonged to a reasonably competent group of assassins who are not blabbing about the innermost secrets of the organization at every available opportunity. At least that's what I tell myself when a random barmaid says "hail Sithis" to me when I'm working incognito. In case you are wondering who I blame for this breach of secrecy, it's Cicero, I think he never got over not being named listener and this is his passive\aggressive way of getting back at me.

Other than the line "Psst. Hey, I know who you are. Hail Sithis." which my mod covers, I can't find any more lines including "hail sithis". So that should be fixed with my mod.

If you find any more lines that aren't covered by the mod (either for Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood, or that you think would fit in the optional file) let me know what the line is and who said it.

No, that would be it. I must have misinterpreted what you wrote and assumed this mod was only applied to guard dialogue.

Ah, right. In the game files it's all the same line regardless of who says it, so it will disable/limit it for everyone. Didn't think of that so I will edit the description to make it more clear, thanks!

Is this compatible with RDO and GDO?

Yes. RDO has no conflicts at all and is fully compatible. GDO does conflict but just make sure my mod loads after it.

Perfect timing. I'm just starting a Dark Brotherhood play-through, and those comments irritate the hell out of me. For that matter, so do all of the skill comments. Which is why I'm glad mods like https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/45540 exist as well. Seriously, is it possible to just mute all of the guards? Did Bethesda go out of their way to make us want to hate every single guard in Skyrim?

I was actually thinking about doing the skill comments too, but I'm glad to see there's already a mod for it. Will add that mod to the description too, thanks!
