I made this mod ESL, I Fixed the snow grass people keep talking about in the post below, Fixed rocks in this mod, fixed rivers and lakes, and fixed up this mod for SE since some vanilla .esp values were still in LE format and fixed up this mod so it works better in Caves and Mines. For the love of all that is holly stop making the post below over 9 thousand deep lol. My mod is in the link below and REQUIRES this mod to work - my mod is only a .esp it doesnt contain meshes, textures, or the ini.
God bless you sir. Though you might've missed one rock texture. Still saw it at the guardian stones. A bunch of blue/purple stones. I downloaded the complex grass version of this mod. But downloading the basic file manually and going into "Main/textures/landscape/grass/tamrielic grass" then copying these files;
Sorry about that I think you might have inferred something that was not there! So a few things incorrect there - I fixed Tamirelic Grass - I never touched or edited the complex grass version hosted on this mod page and never mentioned that I did. I specifically said "my mod is only a .esp it doesn't contain meshes, textures, or the ini." Grass Complex is a texture - you named textures in your comment so this would be out of scope.
More importantly however, users have had numerous issues with the complex grass patch hosted on this mod page and currently every mod list recommendation says you should be getting complex grass from the "Complex Grass - The Official Patch Central" for this mod which does not have bugs like you mentioned. It is heavily recommended that you DO NOT use grass complex hosted on this mod at this time. As a side note you broke grass complex as it applies to those textures when you pasted those textures over. Just a heads up.
TLDR: You shouldn't be using Grass Complex from this mod for one you should be using Grass Complex from the mod I linked above and I never said I touched Grass Complex - but more importantly I dont need to since the mod I linked you too has no issues but also its out of scope. I hope that helps friend!
Oh yeah I downloaded the basic "Tamrielic Grass" file here AND the "Tamrielic Complex Grass For ENB Complex Grass" at the Complex Grass - The official Patch Compendium, then it all finally worked, no more floating grass etc, my skin cleared up and my bank account tripled.
So apparently the Complex Grass file here doesn't work and cause a lotta bugs, at least on my 1.6.1130 build. You gotta download the "Tamrielic Grass" file here AND the "Tamrielic Complex Grass For ENB Complex Grass" at the Complex Grass - The official Patch Compendium, let it overwrite and then it works, finally. No more missing textures and floating grass.
I found that simply deleting tg_snow_bush01.nif in the meshes folder, then deleting the .dds files under the textures folder (with the same/similar name: tg_snow_bush01) was good enough for my game
as for people not liking how the grass looks with complexgrass in ENB make sure to grab the latest DLL off of the ENBSeries site as it has some new settings you can play around with (like adding back some of the fake lighting that's disabled when using complexgrass)
I deleted it in tamrielic grass mod but still they are present in my game. What's the name of this grass in vanilla so I can delete it forever - not only tamrielic grass replacer? (I was looking for it in Data -> Meshes -> Landscape -> Grass and Data -> Textures -> Landscape -> Grass) and couldn't find file named "tg_snow_bush01" or anything similar to that.
I don't wanna remove it, but I might try making it maybe 25% smaller, if anyone knows the best way to do that. I'm decent at Xedit, just not with stuff like this.
If you delete tg_snow_bush01, then you end up with areas where no grass/terrain will appear, so you can't just delete this, it needs something added back in.
It's going to need a replacement created.
If someone creates/edits the grass smaller, can someone please upload/share it?
I deleted it, and then ended up seeing big empty patches on the map, which was a bigger eye sore. So if you aren't seeing massive sized empty sections, then you are lucky for some reason.
The offender for most of these (Grass inside Helgen Castle for me) is: LGrassSnow01NoGrass [LTEX:0008B01E] this mod adds snowgrass to the landscape texture list in the above record. *note that this texture list is used in places where there should be NO GRASS. That is why you're seeing it in weird places, popping up through floors and patios of buildings. Just remove the 3 records this mod adds there. Or create your own bash patch of all the records under 'Landscape Texture' and you can pick and choose what grass elements you want to utilize for each entry manually. No need to delete nifs etc.
I don't know why everyone hates these! They are cypress tree bushes, quite common in northern Europe, even during winter. So I think they are quite fitting.
hi. im currently working on a an edit that turns it white/blueish. main reason is it sticks out in the snow and i wanted it to blend better. its close to done but im trying to figure out why its fuzzy looking from a far
I like the snow bush model, but for me the issue is how often it is seen in game since it is in the Landscape Texture - LGrassSnow01 record. I am by no means an expert modder but I swapped out the tg_snow_bush01 and 02 records for the FrozenShrub from Landscapes - Cathedral Concept, using xEdit to make the patch (just like on the description page for this mod).
Here was my quick and dirty process:
I created a stripped down version of Cathedral by deleting everything in the folder except the texture / meshes for the frozen shrub, and the ESP. Using xEdit, I stripped the ESP down to just the FrozenShrub record under the Grass header.
For the patch I copied the FrozenShrub record (from above pic), and LGrassSnow01 and LSnowRocks01wGrass records under Landscape Textures from this mod (for the picture below the "NoGrass" record is overwritten by NoGrassias in my setup) into a new ESP ("the patch").
From there I replaced tg_snow_bush01 and 02 records records in LGrassSnow01 and LSnowRocks01wGrass, with the FrozenShrub record (all that to swap out four records...).
Anyway, I'm going to play around with it to incorporate the snow bushes back in, but in a way they won't be everywhere.
R3ACT3M Worked for me . the much smaller brown grass remained , but at least they move with the wind and is only knee high. Also they seem to be everywhere the green bush are so no vast empty spaces .
Lol - I came here looking for info on how to remove this shrub, too. It's just too big and you see so much of it in certain areas. If it was smaller and less common, I wouldn't really have an issue with it.
As you have probably figured out, you want to delete the entries in the .esp with xEdit to be sure.
First, under Landscape Texture, then LGrassSnow01 (sort alphabetically to find it faster), remove the tg_snow_bush01 and tg_snow_bush02 grasses individually.
Then, under Grass, remove the entirety of both tg_snow_bush01 and tg_snow_bush02.
Hah! Just tried this a few days ago (following your post before it wads edited)... was wondering why the bushes were still there. Hard to see the pics you posted though... fingers crossed I get it right this time!
edit: somehow, removing those records resulted in an infinite loading screen. Are there any additional steps I should be taking?
Hello, is there any way to install this mod with only the underwater flora? I love to couple this with 'Depths of Skyrim', but also would like to try other grass mods on land, for a particular enviroment I'm trying to get.

I downloaded the complex grass version of this mod. But downloading the basic file manually and going into "Main/textures/landscape/grass/tamrielic grass" then copying these files;
tg_field_rocks.dds
tg_field_rocks_n.dds
tg_snow_pebbles.dds
tg_snow_pebbles_n.dds
And pasting them into where the mod location is installed and overwriting the files seems to fix it.
