When you set your game resolution to a lower value, the ENB will take screenshots in the lower, internal render resolution. If you want them to be in your actual display resolution, use external utilities like Nvidia's Shadowplay/GeForce Experience or AMD ReLive/Adrenalin.
I just released a full (VR-first) ENB preset that includes this tweak: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/52442
If you want your game to have some of that ENB pizzazz, but your GPU is like "how about no", go give it a try. It is very barebones (the VR version of ENB is rather limited compared to the non-VR one), but tries its best to emulate those missing effects.
Just be sure to hop over to the enbposteffect and slide the resolution ratio up to 1.3.
After pairing this with display tweaks, toning some Rudy settings down, and applying various other fixes (some probably don't even boost my performance since I have 600 or so mods) and using Nvidias panel for upscaling as well a slow latency mode, and turning on my panel overdrive in Armor crate (ASUS ROG laptop, yeah sorry....laptop user....Want a desktop once I have the space and right set-up) on a 2070 super....30-40 stable FPS, rarely dips below 30 flat, smooth, very little camera stutter/jumps when rotating rapidly..
All in all...solid.
Going to test how well it holds up when I pop on parallax will make an edit once I give it a test in a few troublesome spots for my rig
I have display tweaks installed, so basically I install this to the enbseries and then diable all the enbeffectpostpass.fx file related settings in the menu?
this completly ruined lighting for me . now everything is bright and colors are washed out somehow even replacing the enbseries with the backup i made doesnt revert the change :/ would that be because i wasnt using the tested Rudy ENB ? im using re-engaged for obsidian edit : reinstalled enb preset again then checked ingame looked good added your changes to the files checked ingame but sadly huge downgrade to lighting :C doesnt seem to work well with re-engaged for obsidian but thank u for the awesome mod either way ^^
Heads up for those of you who don't use ENB and want to reap the benefits - Doodlez released the Dynamic Resolution Scaling mod that basically addresses the same thing this does, but in a better way.
I follow the same steps involving changes to Ssedisplaytweaks ini I presume (set skyrim to windowed mod etc.)? I just wanna check the difference in fps gains between this mod and losssless scaling. Nonetheless this gave me about 5 fps boost (60fps on 1080 but still drops to 40+ near morthal) with Pi-Cho enb obsidian on my rtx 3060 mobile with the resolution scale set to 0.20. Thankss~~
I tried Lossless Scaling with the various scaling types and I'm convinced your mod is better. I had more stutters with Lossless at 60 fps and the visual fidelity isn't as crisp as it would have been with this oversampling shader.
You sir are a damn wizard. This mod does seem to make UI elements more blurry. Not sure if there is a solution for it but the performance bonus is definitely worth a little blurriness
