Open source and mine will only unequip on the racemenu that happens during CharGen. The mod linked above will fire off its script on the first racemenu that happens during play whilst the mod is installed (a minor quibble but still). i.e. mine will never unequip anything if you install it mid-playthrough. As the title suggests it affects the Starting Outfit only.
Otherwise, no there isn't much difference except for the title (possibly more easily searchable?) and being a light plugin / esp-fe.
This is awesome, thank you so much for building this mod! I play with Realm of Lorkhan - Freeform Alternate Start mod and it starts you with a lot of equipment...including a full-faced helmet that blocks my ability to see the nose and facial structure I'm playing with in RaceMenu! This fixed that problem and still gives me the equipment. Perfect! My future characters thank you, as they all seemed to come out of the box with the world's ugliest nose.
Lorkhan? No, it doesn't. It literally removes them. You are using another mod that modifies the "player" entity when starting a game, such as "Everlight - Magic Torches". Use xEdit to check those kind of things before posting info, you'd be possibly messing with someone's load order for nothing.

When using showracemenu my character stays nude after finishing character modifications.
Use xEdit to check those kind of things before posting info, you'd be possibly messing with someone's load order for nothing.
The only difference is the plugin name, and updated mod title/image here on the page.
