    Don't forget to install supporting mods as well. Pointless, to use mod without at least one of them. This is a resource for them.

    Please report any bug or missing sort items from formlists under bugs here on the nexus.

    If you experience an issue with meshes please take a screenshot for me. So I can fix the problem. Just post it under screenshots.

    12/20/21 - Checking in. After AE update, been looking over reports and comments. Fixed Hearthfire General Stores Addon with current changes made in AE. Other Bugs so far seem all related to Ordinator I can't promise I can fix these as I do not use Ordinator because a large amount plugins in my load order conflict with Ordinator. But, still checking in from time to time.

    05/24/22 - Finally got my game running again after last AE update broke it. Will continue looking into bug report now. So far in my play testing I have not had any issues with General store. Noticed a few things have changed with Activators will test them more. Not broken just work differently. Used to be crafting items did not automatically go to storage when exiting crafting benches now some do. Plan to add more addons for CC player home content as well. Also been wanting to make a LOTD addon as well.

    Does this add shared storage? It looks like this is just for modders.

    I'm looking for a mod that lets you use items from storage without having to traverse back and forth between homes AND between crafting stations.

    I'm intrigued by this mod, though it looks complicated, and there's no simple description, even on the original mod's page, of how this works or how to use it. Is this a framework mod? Meaning, it only exists to be used by other mods?

      The optional Craftable Cloud Storage download file turns this mod into something you can directly use.  Other than than, it is framework for others to add sort chests to their player home mods and such.

      One thing that seems to be missing from all of the sorting mods is a basic "Store All" function that works like "Take All".  The base game really should have had "Store All", as in, open a chest, select your weapons tab, and store all your weapons in that chest.  Simple, and much needed.  The closest I could find is Automatic Item Storage - Improved Custom Lists, but that does require you to configure and manage custom item lists for each chest.  Not as simple as a "Shift+R" on any chest that you like.

      It's how the game works. The more you have in your inventory or the container you are accessing the slower it gets just like every other action in the menus. This isn't a fast way to store everything you've got into a single container. It works best when you keep your inventory fairly clear and then store various things into different containers. That's one reason I made my Portable Containers mod to go with this one.

      I'd note that Automatic Item Storage is very fast, after it's configured.

    Hello, I love the idea of this mod--
    I just don't think I'm getting it to work quite right.

    Does the full functionality only work with Vanilla homes and those that are supported on the description page? I am using a collection that uses HS Player Homes and did not see them listed within the Supporting mods section.

    When I active a device such as the alchemy station it gives me two options which are essentially to craft or to store. It is not giving me all of the other options "Store All" "Take One" etc.

    Is there anything I can do to make this compatible?

      Requires at least one addon Home plugin to access in game. Items are not lost just need a addon that adds containers to a home which can be vanilla or a supported mod. (List in description). Then just go to home and click on added container / Activators. This will open to items that were sorted away in containers. 

      Some more detail items are stored on a cloud storage container so to speak. In the General stores esm as long as General Stores esm remains active item are never lost. Addon Homes just reference the containers in General stores esm plugin. Short answer of how it works.

      As for compatibility only issue is when another mod edits the crafting benches activator that conflicts. Only mod I am aware of that does this is Ordinator.

      Currently need to update my Skyrim AE and update over 160 mods. So won't say no but, have no time frame for doing it.

    I'm having trouble getting in to Winter Cove. I can hit the switch next to the door to lock and unlock it, but I can't interact with the door to enter or leave the home unless I noclip into the door itself. I have no idea why it's happening. Everything else about this mod seems to work fine. I just can't use the doorway without console.

      Are you using latest Skyrim AE version? It maybe a new bug with it. Sadly, I have too update a lot of mods before I can start Skyrim AE up at this point. I will look into it then but, busy dealing with life problems with my Dad's knee replacement atm. So not sure when that will be. Thank you for letting me know tho.

      Turns out I had 2 different versions of the Winter Cove esp running, I disabled the non GS version and now it's working properly. I forgot to disable it when switching versions like a dumb dumb. :P

      Fantastic mod btw, I love having a home in the open Winterhold area

    I love this mod and have been modding homes with it for years.
    I hate to even ask this question but are you planning to add a patch for all that CRAP in the AE CC mods? (just the 4 mandatory ones) - I just finished the Saints & Seducers quest and have a ton of alchemical crap and some crafting items that don't seem to be recognized by the sorter.

    where do items go if they don't end up in any of the tabs? I put potions of blood into the storage and they vanished, i checked both potions and food and they weren't there so I went through all the others and they weren't in any of those either.

    I am using this in my (first ever!) mod and most of it is working fine. However, I just went in the game to fine tune test everything, and the claws display "table" or "bench" (not sure what I used without opening CK right now, I'm still in game but it looks like a bench) is not displaying the claws correctly, any idea why? They are basically bunched up and placed all over the place.

    Hey there, dunno if you still answer messages from here, but I have a very specific issue with the auto storage aspect of this mod and add-ons, where I interact with a crafting bench and it will fill my inventory with all of my cloud storage, but when I get up from the bench, it still has all the items in my inventory instead of putting them back in the cloud storage, any idea what might be causing that, or a fix?

      if you have a lot of resources it can take a while to unload after you've used the crafting item (workbench, alchemy table or such). You can keep your inventory open while it unloads, and only move away when everything is gone.(check carry weight)

    I use this mod and an enchanting table replacer + the optional  GS Craftable Cloud Storage. Gs Craftable Cloud Storage completely replaces any enchanting table mods I have and I have no idea how to fix it help please?
    EDIT: I made a patch using Creation Kit by switching the models

    HELP!!!! I accidentally put the septims into the smithing storage and it was registered as a smithing item, is there a way to undo this?

    It's annoying because every time I want to store the smithing items the money is stored too and I have to collect it manually each time.
