If you look at "preview file contents" you'll see the mod has only textures. Without meshes that have parallax applied to them, it'll have no parallax effect. The meshes will need to come from elsewhere.
So when it says its a replacement for ice textures and parallax in the Vale, that means this mod supports parallax? I'm using parallax in VR and with some mods it looks fantastic.
Will be getting to those soon - some ice in the game have their own unique texture files while others don’t so I need to work through them ... like the vale has its own ice unique to just that area, same with dg which I may do next
This also fixes the bright glowing icicles at night. They're still somewhat visible, but not super bright like before. THANK YOU.
EDIT: ONO after more investigation there is something seriously wrong with a lot of the ice cliffs now. See below...

If you look at the screenshots provided in this mod, you can compare the first two "VANILLA" and "AFTER" images and see that the icicles on the right go from icy to flat gray. That's what I'm seeing in some of the areas of the cliffsides and they look bad to me, so unfortunately I have to uninstall this.
You mean Glacierslab SSE? I already have that loaded after this mod, but it doesn't touch any of the textures in /textures/dlc01/landscape which is where the problem is.
it would be nice to get a ice caves mod from you for skyrim, its difficult for a person that doesn't know how to work with textures to much, to get a good result with better ice cave parallax. love this mod! highfive!!!
So the Vale has seoaratw ice texture files so I replaced those. Ice caves also have their own files too but I actually did redo those if you use my cave mod. I’m going to do all of the other ice styles eventually too
I do use your Cave mod, and while the rocky caves are the best I've seen EVER, your ice seemed a bit off to me, definitely not as gorgeous as this present mod. Better ice cave parallax improves pretty much all ice caves textures except maybe the gochargers ones that have their own parallax. But yeah 'charffs caves are hands down the best, and I've tried them all!
Yes I also tried to mix Clevercharff's Caves and Gocharger's Ice caves, but I wasn't too fond of the ice texture in the end... What I'd like to try next is the ice texture from the video showcase of the Ice Cave Parallax mod (in Videos Tab) but I can't seem to find it... :/
I was wondering this same thing. I'm glad I read up on the comments. It will be cool to see those other ice styles you're planning to do when you have the time for it. I'm certain it'll be just as great as all the others. I swear Clevercharff's textures are a must-have! :3 Forever a fan. <3
In the end I ended up settling with https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/99443, it is an interior ice cave addon from Oldrim (works flawlessly for SSE) meant to complement Glacierslab, this way my ice textures are consistent and 3D. "Northern Ice" from the author of Majestic Mountains is also nice.

edit - load glacier slab addon after this mod, seems to have fixed it
