Note that many objects may not move positions correctly if you install this midgame, such as the rentable bed in the Frozen Hearth and other 'persistent' objects. Please only log a bug if you find an issue with this mod after starting a new game with it active.
Love the mod. Very unique and well thought out. Also very performance friendly. However this one is a bit rough around the edges imo compared to your Morthal which I guess is understandable given that one has been updated recently. The only major bug that I have seen so far is the innkeeper just isn't able to show me the room. He just stands infront of the door. Checked xEdit for conflicts but nothing seemed too weird. Also not running any other inn/tavern mods. If you can shed any light on this would be great. P.S- Would love a Simplicity of Snow patch.
Hey mate. Same thing happens in morthal with idgrod and joric. They can't use the door because it is not directly connected to the building even tho it is in the same cell. In those cases npcs wont use the door. No conflict, don't worry. I got that from ClefJ.
I see. Didn't really look for their AI pattern inside the palace in Morthal personally. But the inn works unlike Winterhold so there's that. Thanks for chipping in with your finding though.
I love your Winterhold addon, and made sure to build compatibility into my Winterhold mod I just released. You'll see by the mod page's screenshots that there's a very consistent ClefJ Winterhold look to the compatibility version.

I've noticed that the BS3 patch does not work with the latest version of better dynamic snow 3, I get instant CTD when traveling to winterhold. I edited the patch myself in sseedit to remove the errors but please update it so that others won't have the same issue.
Literally any mod that moves the shape or position of buildings will run into problems with eFPS without a patch, it's just that Winterhold is a popular spot for totally moving buildings around.
Hey, I'm sorry for such a late response to this, but I just installed this mod and I run eFPS. What Discord server are you referring to and how can I access it? Also, I was looking through the posts to see if my question had already been answered, but I will ask it here to kill two birds with one stone. I know this mod says not compatible with major town modifications, but I'm not sure COTN Winterhold meets that since I haven't tried either mod in-game yet. I know it changes some buildings (I don't know if it moves them), but is that compatible with this mod like the Great City of Winterhold setup they have? TGCoW seems a bit too busy for a town that has lost its grandeur... at least for me. And this seems like an excellent middle-ground that I am looking for.
It is not compatible with either one. Not saying you can't do some madlad project to combine them, this mod's permissions are open, but it's unlikely to turn out well in my opinion.
EDIT: Sorry. I misread that. So not compatible with the COTN and TGCo versions of Winterhold. What about the eFPS patch? Is it still good? What server is it on?
I don't really have anything to do with eFPS so it's either on their patch hub or on the discord that should be linked somewhere in the eFPS docs. I don't know why it wouldn't be published if it exists.
OK, thanks. I'll have to look around some on eFPS' Discord. I thought the post meant ClefJ had one. I'm not sure why it wouldn't be published either. Maybe I need to reinstall its patch mods to see if this is in there.
I guess I've waited around long enough to add this. I've been running TGCoWinterhold/COTN Winterhold for quite a while, but I think I like the idea of my Winterhold being a bit simpler. I love your Morthal version and it (and other) have been in my list since first released, so I'm sure I won't be disappointed by this. Thank you for some wonderful mods.
This is a must have mod in my game, just makes Winterhold a place you want to go to and explore. Would it be possible to get a patch made for Broken Bluff Winterhold Player Home by lordramuel (Nexus ID 46674) to deal with a minor terrain mesh tear by the ruined home that gets restored? The mod is usable and essentially works as it should with yours, just the tear cosmetically hurts the immersion experience ( I am a damned perfectionist, sorry!)

Hi Ringmaster308, out of curiosity do you use alternate start - live another life mod? If so, have you used it to start in Winterhold. I just posted an issue about this probably minutes after you, so thought I'd ask to see if it helps me identify my problem. Thanks
No, I don't use Alternate Start Live Another Life, but I do use Proteus by Phenderix and a mod called Optional Quickstart that skips the intro and starts you at the very end of the Helgen underground escape passage. Sorry if this doesn't help you at all.
Upon installing ClefJ's Morthal and Winterhold I have conflicts in vortex between them and their corresponding patch hubs. To clarify, I mean files from Morthal conflict wtih Winterhold and same with the patch hubs. Not just which loads first between the mod and its patch hub. Also, using the Alternate Start - Live Another Life mod to start in Winterhold I am standing in the main room area, not a bedroom like I seen with other inns to start at, and a fire is floating in front of the exterior door to Winterhold.
Does anyone know if a patch exist between ClefJ's Winterhold and ASLAL? I "think" that may the problem, but am not sure. One is not available in the patch hub.
Last, as I just found ClefJ's mod page, I only have two regrets. One they did not keep making more mods for all the cities, towns, etc and two, that I had found them sooner!!! I love the detail of everything and it so keeps the immersion of the times. So if the mod author finds this.....PLEASE make more!!!! :)
EDIT: I should also note, I have no other mods for either of these cities or mods for their areas. I just starting building this LO. Thanks
