thank you so much for this amazing mod! im wondering if anyone has found a workaround to make this compatible with the Miraak Follower Modified mod? i've been trying for so long to run a game with both that facegen and the great dialogue expansion yet nothing seems to work!
This is a great mod! I love his dialogue and we are now happily married lol (also for anyone having issues with marriage make sure you have breezehome! I spent hours building and furnishing lake view manor but he don’t like it there I guess lol. As soon as I bought breezehome the marriage dialogue came up (if wearing the amulet of Mara of course)) But I’m having an issue where cultists, assassins, lurkers, and seekers will randomly spawn when I fast travel or wait. Is there a way to make that stop happening? Is anyone else having this issue?
Is The New Dragon Cult another mod or what? If so, I'm certain that I don't have this mod, but enemies are still ruining the marriage. If not, then how I can disable it?
Having trouble getting the marriage prompt to appear. I've tried making a new profile on MO2, with only the Miraak follower mod, and this mod enabled, new game with some console commands for expedition to test, but it still doesn't show up. I have a home, and an amulet of Mara worn Miraak_DialoguePatch.esp is loaded below MiraakFollwer.esp but still no option. Anyone have any advice?
To anyone else having the issue of no marriage prompt appearing, I tried triggering the quest manually with console commands, and then speaking to him, and that worked. The commands I used were as follows.
do you think you can do the same thing for Ebony warrior? i would rather make friends with Ebony and have the choice, all i'm asking for is just a few dialog lines like after he gives his speech, the player convinces him to join you on your quest as you still have villain's to be slain.
oh wait, maybe not just a few lines, if he's a follower he would need follower diolouge as well... but if you can do that, and see if the enigma series guy could do a rework on the lines, that would be great.
That should be somewhat easy to do Just play the fight like normal and deplete his health best you can until he kneels then somehow some dialogue can be added that you defeated him and understands that it wouldn't be wise to end his life in order to go to sovengarde After he isn't a Nord so therefore that could happen one day
or it could be done via a simple speech check based on your skill to convince him to not fight you and to join you on your quest to defeat Alduin, but i do like the other idea as well, one is much more simple than the other though.
the funny thing is you could essentially take him to sovengard via the portal at skaldofin, and maybe embellish a story that he made it to sovengard for a purpose that could fit within the lore.
i'm not expecting the modder to do this btw, it's just a cool idea for the continued story of ebony and a slight different turn of events.
like maybe he used to be a Nord but was cursed by a deadra to be a redguard and his only chance to be cured was through "right of combat" to enter sovengard as his true self. but perhaps he could also be cured by aiding the dragonborn to rid Alduin in combat within sovengard, it would have also been cool to have the other mortal dead fight alongside in that battle instead of them all staying within their floating castle not doing anything, that final fight should have had more dragons aiding Alduin coming through the portal, but the landscape of sovengard would probably need to be slightly bigger for the fight to feel right with that much conflict going on in one place.
anyway, sorry about that, i get carried away with my imagination sometimes, and my comments will be very long because of this.
Anyone else getting the issue where Miraak will equip, unequip, re-equip, then unequip his sword again before giving up and using magic or shouts? He basically seems incapable of swinging his sword, and it's pretty weird since I don't use anything that touches followers.
Had an issue with AFT-- Asked Miraak to follow me, and then no more dialogue would show up, and he wouldn't actually come with me. Moved this *directly* beneath AFT and seems to be behaving now! (Either that or it's just that I restarted my game, but a disable/enable cycle didn't fix it)
That's because this one already contains the contents of the actual follower mod (with a few tweaks and changes in the original esp). Replace the old esp with everything in this mod for it to work.
Do you even need to replace? Can you just install this mod without the original? The consistent use of the word "replace" across the mod's description is confusing. Is the original a master or isn't it?

UPD. You should disable The New Dragon Cult Konahrik version and everyting will work

After entering these console commands I was able to marry Miraak without any issue. Hope this is able to help someone.
