If this mod doesn't work for you (it didn't for me) try "Quest Journal Fix for SkyUI." Be sure to disable "Flashing Save Game" mod if you have it since it comes with QJ. It's a FOMOD with a about 6 patches (none of which I needed) so my only requirement was SkyUI and to tick the first/top option. Good luck... lots of folks having this difficulty level trouble and the fix seems hit or miss.
Hey, that's not a bug with the latest version of Skyrim. That is a problem with SkyUI probably or another mod's compatibility with the update and it's the quest_journal.swf. If you download this fix you can change your difficulty again.
@ nintai83 Thanks for the link to Quest Journal Fix for SkyUI. That one (Quest Journal) worked for me while this one (Difficulty MCM) didn't. If you do try the other one disable the "Flashing Game Save" mod if you have it... QJ comes with it. I didn't need to enable any of the patches so just ticked first option in FOMOD.
is there a setting to specifically change follower damage modifiers? Ive got some mods to make my game harder now, but i need to balance it a little rather than taking one hit from a bandit and losing half my health then taking an hour to heal, i just dont want my followers destroying all the people, so iadded more people, obv bad side effects
Just downloaded it today. wasn't there immediately but it came after a short wait. I also changed my difficulty in the gameplay settings, but not sure if that mattered.
I would love to see this mod in Starfield. I don't like the current difficulty mods for Starfield and I figure (maybe stupidly) that the system/structure is similar.
Just an idea. Cheers
EDIT: meanwhile, I used the current Starfield bat mods and just edited their txt suggestions (I use 1.25 damage for everyone).
Scrambled Bugs has an option "Difficulty Multipliers: Teammates" that if enabled will do basically the same as Difficulty Balance, been using for some time and it's working great.
So basically this is like unlocking 007 Mode in Goldeneye where for the entire play through there are sliders for Bond/Enemy & Ally Health, Damage dealt/taken, Enemy Accuracy and Enemy Reaction Speed.

In the setup the game still show novice, but the mod works fine.
