What was formerly named Vulpex, now has a new everything.
A long thought extinct race of foxlike people has started to show up in Skyrim.

Many believe the Lilmothiit have been entirely wiped out, either by the Argonians themselves or by the Knahaten Flu.
Both are true for a majority of the species, however there are a few surviving families.
The Lilmothiit tend to stay in tight-knit families and tribes, and they are now beginning to slowly increase their numbers once again.
There is safety in numbers after all. Due to their near-extinction, they keep a nomadic lifestyle, constantly moving to ensure longevity.
This constant traveling largely contributes as to why they are believed to have vanished, as they tend not to leave traces behind wherever they go.
Their nomadic life and determination to stay alive has made them a crafty and agile species.
Out of fear of losing more to sickness, some members of the tribe(s) have become amazing healers and shamans.
It is worth mentioning that they don’t run on any specific rank system. Everyone helps one another. “It takes a village” as they say...
Thanks to user DiscalcedDefenestrator in the comments/posts for mentioning that there was originally a race of fox people called the Lilmothiit,
hence where the new renamed version of this came from.
Two tail options, Inari with HDT and MaTera tails.
CBBE and UNP compatible body textures, in addition to default game textures.
9 different fur colour options.
Males and females can have different fur colours.
Replacers for Vilja, Inigo and Sofia companions/followers, with more being added in the future.
Beastlike feet if so desired.
Updating
Switch to a different race BEFORE UPDATING.
Uninstall version 0.0.0.
Then install the updated version.
Change to the new race, the name is what this mod is called.

See about fixing the odd textures.
More replacers for companions, if requested.
SoS support.
Tidy up this mod page and make it look half decent.
Maybe more fur colours, also if requested.
Get more screenshots and upload them.
Add in a small village into Skyrim of this race with a few Lilmothiit as part of the backstory. Maybe play with quest design?

If you have suggestions, tips or something you would like to see that's not on the to do list already, please do leave a post or send me a message. If it is on the to do list (fur colours, companion replacers...) please do post. I'm also open to suggestions, for the mod, if folks say I should split the file up or provide separate options as individual downloads, I'll do it.

Personally, I would prefer either a bug report or message, as I do not get notified about new posts here, but I do get reports and message notifications. I try to check here every so often, but I'm in my senior year of college, and sometimes I forget to look because I have too much work.
- Vulpine Race from Fallout 4 (used with permission) used for the tail textures.
- Inari HDT Tails (Used with permission, , and is an LL link) used as the tail.
- Argonian - Khajiit Fabulook SSE eyes used for the eyes.
- Digitigrade Khajiit used for the beastlike feet.
- HD Khajiit Mouth used for making the mouth look all pretty, though it's almost never seen in its entirety.
- Racial powers from the MaTera.
- Lykaios Race over on Lover's Lab, yet again. This was used as the "new" base for the mod. Go give the creator Bad Dog some thanks and/or love if you wish. they did the model and textures... All I did was change the tail, add racial abilities and make different colours.
- Barefoot Footsteps Extended
- Fox textures for Lykiaos.. Used as a base, and was overlooked in the credits. Oops. (KrittaKitty, Blaze69 & Poblivion)
I will be making my own textures whenever I can wrap my head around substance painter, and getting it to work with Skyrim's old texture rendering system.
Changelog
1.2.0: Fixed CBBE female head texture not showing, l and changed the way female head textures were installed.
1.1.0: Fixed and renamed folders and folder paths that were causing floating eyes.
0.0.0 to 1.0.0 changes, in no particular order:
- Renamed from Vulpex to Lilmothiit, an idea from a comment in the post section.
- Added a proper description that wasn't half assed.
- A proper fomod installer now.
- Replaced the race's head with one that does not have as large an overlap.
- Reorganized the internal texture folders.
- Fixed the missing meshes, because apparently dingus me didn't catch that.
- Added different fur colours for both male and female.
- Added a fix for Natsuno backpack, if it is installed. This fixes the backpack so it doesn't cover the tail.
- "Enabled" vampire by setting a proper eye texture instead of it just being blank.
- Added CBBE body support.
- Included options for the feet.
- Added an option to add more barefoot sounds, as there is an option for custom feet.
- Added and tweaked powers.
