About this mod

An alchemist in Skyrim must scale mountains, weather blizzards, wade through swamps and do it all with a delicate hand and keen eye for the reagents of their work. But who's to say they can't look good doing it? A vanilla mash-up armor mod, with Frostfall compatability and light/clothing versions. Now supports male/female, circlets and CBBE!

Special Note: CBBE support is now available! Many, MANY thanks to the fabulous docteure and Jeir for their hard work and help! I can't express enough how amazing it's been to see people enjoying this mod, and now I hope more than ever can give it a shot! To download, please get both the texture file from the optional files page as well as the meshes from the mod page linked in the CBBE optional file's description. The Vanilla file has also recieved a clean-up update, so please take a look, and thank you all for your support! <3

There are many, many awesome armor mods around the Nexus. However, in my search, I just couldn't find anything that looked quite right for my character. I wanted something that looked like it belonged in Skyrim, but also had a bit of unique flair. Something practical, but with a feminine touch. And most of all, something that combined the aesthetics of the mage and the traveller, much the same way an alchemist walks both worlds in their work.

So, I decided to whip up something of my own. This is a vanilla mash-up of the Thieves Guild armor, the Mages Guild apprentice robes, the barkeeper outfit sleeves, and the blacksmith tighter sleeves to cover up any shoulder gap. Of course, these have all been recoloured/decorated to look appropriate for an alchemist's work, with hand-drawn 'embroidery' on the skirt and mantle. The secondary pieces - including gloves, boots, a hood and a cloak - have also been appropriately recoloured to match. The cloak comes from the ever-amazing Cloaks of Skyrim mod, which generously offers their assets for armor creation. Thank you!

Each piece is craftable at a tanning rack, and the light armor pieces can be tempered, as well. They are all Frostfall compatible, a good mixture of coverage/warmth, though leaning more towards the former. I hope your alchemist finds this unique garb fitting, for 'alchemist' is more than a title or profession - it's a way of life. The best of luck on your ventures, and may Kyne smile on your work in her wilds!

If you're interested in having the armor organically placed in the world rather than console/crafting it in, please take a look at this wonderful little mod by TheShiningAbsolhttps://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/39286/

Current notes
  • VS 1.3 Uploaded: CBBE support added! The Vanilla version has also recieved some much-needed cleaning up and tweaks,  as well as a cleaned-up male version, with much thanks to docteure for their work and guidance! :) Unless issues crop up, this will likely be the last version release. Thank you all for your support!
  • VS 1.2 Uploaded: Fixed bug with weight slider for sleeves making a jumbled mess in the middle-weight meshes.
  • VS 1.1 Uploaded: Added male set, and circlet support!
  • Male version has some clipping of the sides when jumping.
  •  There's some minor clipping of the sleeves into the cloak. I've pared down the cloak as much as I can to avoid this, so unfortunately at this point I think that's just how it is.
  • Thank you for looking, downloading and endorsing!
