By the way, uploading any in-game screenshots would be appreciated if you guys happen to take any. You can upload images to this page without verification. I don't have much time to test my mods in-game right now, barely enough free time to actually make them so that's what I focus on. So if you take any screenshots feel free to post them!

Hello, I am making a new port of New Legion to xBox, and I wanted to ask if it would be possible for me to get permissions to include this amazing textures and fixes on it (with full credits of course)

Thanks in advance, and sorry to bother you :)

What resolution are these textures in btw? You bring up the upscaling but don't mention if they're 2k, or 4k, or vanilla-esque resolution, etc

New Legion's Textures HD files are 4096 on armors and 2048 on boots with 208 mb file size. so it should be 4k if we compare the file size.

    I’m a bit confused.
On the main page for Vanilla Armor Replacer, it doesn’t mention having any affect on elven or glass armors, yet one of the images for these textures fixes shows what seems to be elven equipment being affected by the main mod.
Am I mistaken, or does the mod affect other things that weren’t mentioned in the mod’s description?

I don't know if this has already been addressed or not, does this texture pack work for Guard Armor Replacer and Heavy Legion?

      +1

An upscaled version for Guard Armor Replacer would be amazing!

I don't know if you're still working on this,  But the "emperor" armour from Nordwars new legion could use some work, The red gambeson worn under the armour has rather crude looking overtly bright textures, I'd tone it down myself but i haven't the faintest clue how to do anything short of generic Outfit studio work. Textures are beyond me.

Very nice! Do you have plans to do Nordwar's Guards Armor Replacer? Was uploaded by a different mod author: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/22671

yeah it's on my list for sure, just taking me a long time to do unplayable factions armor right now since i had to remake a lot of the chainmail from scratch and might need to do more materials too

I've noticed that with ENB some of Nordwar's armours have this shader-like glow (related to glow maps maybe?). It isn't noticeable without ENB. It isn't that bad, but effects the New Legion armour the most (usually in snowy areas). Honestly it sort of looks like the frost effect from Frostfall.

No, it couldn't be a glow shader. None of the meshes I worked with have glow shader enabled. It's mutually exclusive with environment mapping, so you'd definitely know by the absence of the reflection simulation. ENB can definitely change how specular and environment mapping shaders are drawn though. That's one of its main purposes. It's probably affecting everything with environment mapping but is only visually noticeable on the NWUA meshes because they have very bright environment maps and very high scale values relative to the specular parameters. That means very little diffuse lighting simulation and a lot of reflection simulation, so they look polished, more like a mirror. But also means that those 2 parameters are really far from balanced, for the purposes of any settings that modulate the lighting of objects by plugging into specular or environment mapping, which I think includes some ENB functions. So you may need to fiddle with the settings until it looks right. I used ENB with almost every practical setting enabled while working on all this stuff so I'm pretty confident it's not some basic problem baked into the meshes or textures.
