before - normal map, see the squares? those are compression artifacts, they show up in the lighting which you'll see in the mesh pictures
after - squares are gone, nice and smooth gradients
after... and so on, you get the picture
before - the normal map didn't line up with the diffuse map, and everything was pretty pixelly and compressed
after - new normal map, upscaled diffuse
before - compression artifacts on all 3 maps
after - remade the normal and metallic maps from scratch to create real shading and detail, removed compression from diffuse, upscaled it, cleaned it up by hand e.g. brushing and clone stamping
before - really noticeable compression artifacts in the normal map
