Following the death of High King Torygg, the widowed Jarl Elisif felt a tribute was in order, to honor the life of
her former husband. Elisif reclaimed a disused building in the city of Solitude, and instructed the renovations for the building
to become a museum. It would proudly house many of the unique and ancient artifacts discovered across the land
of Skyrim and beyond. Will you aid the Jarl in finding artifacts to display in the museum?
Features:

  • New three-story building, Solitude Museum, opposite the Hall Of The Dead, fully navmeshed.
  • A simple mod for displaying unique artifacts with no additional quests, and utilising only vanilla assets.
  • Displays for over 150 of the unique items found across Skyrim and Solstheim, including Daedric, quest items, armors, weapons, books and many more.
  • Informational plaques (known as labels) for all items placed, to inform the player of the lore surrounding each particular item.
  • Building guarded day and night, to keep the artifacts safe.
  • New NPC, Norbert, the museum's curator.
  • Voice acted using vanilla dialogue.

To display artifacts, firstly, you must have completed the quest "Elisif's Tribute". This is in order to gain the Jarl's trust and prove you are a capable adventurer. Once the quest is complete, you'll receive a key so you can visit at any time of day. You can then also talk to Norbert, the curator, he's in the museum from 8am - 8pm. Simply give Norbert a unique artifact and he'll find a space for it in the museum. If he thinks it's not interesting enough, he'll give it back to you. Due to the way the game handles Quest items and containers, certain items use a slightly different sorting menu, but it will become apparent when you talk to Norbert. The artifacts which can be displayed have been carefully chosen based on their unique appearance, interesting backstory, or integral role in TES lore. I've purposely excluded certain uniques to keep the mod as lore-friendly as possible, like items from some of the secret societies. If you get stuck with which items to give, there's a book on the shelf behind the counter containing an A to Z list of all the items which can be displayed.

Installation:
Can be installed with a Mod Manager or manually by dragging the .esp and .bsa to your Data folder. Place above anything altering Solitude. It is intended for you to install this mod on a new playthrough so you can find new artifacts as you go.
It
can also be installed part way through a playthrough, as long as you've completed "Elisif's Tribute" then you're good to go. However you won't receive the key doing it this way. There's a hidden key in a strongbox in the bushes to the right of the front door so you're able to access the museum out-of-hours.

Requirements:
Latest version of USLEEP (Unofficial SSE Patch)

Compatibility:
Incompatible with any mod which alters the patch of grass opposite the Hall of the Dead in Solitude (probably most of the Solitude city internals mods)

Other information:
At this time, I will not be including displays for any of the lore items added by any of the Creation Club DLCs. I may, however, add other additional features but only if they're frequently requested. Please let me know in the comments if you find a bug and I’ll do my best to fix it!
