IMPORTANT NOTICE

Hello there, mates.

Apologies for being MIA. Unfortunately I've been struggling with some mental health issues that prevent me from doing, well, anything really.
I noticed that Honed Metal has received several updates since I went away and from what I can tell, the issue with more than 64 enchantments no longer exists. In fact it seems that Honed Metal is now allowing even more enchantments than are possible with my patched script.

Note that I can't test it at this time but assuming the formlist Honed Metal pulls enchantments from hasn't changed, this patch should still work as expected. The patched script is likely no longer necessary. When installing via FOMOD, deselect the patched script option (this is exactly the situation I included that option for). When installing manually, make sure not to install the included hm_actor.pex.

Note that the patched script will break things. It should not be installed with current versions of Honed Metal.

END OF IMPORTANT NOTICE

As someone who really doesn't like leveling Smithing and Enchanting, Honed Metal instantly became an essential part of my load order. But In order to have the Honed Metal Enchanters learn mod added enchantments, you must bring them an item and destroy it or learn the enchantment yourself, which (at least for me) somewhat ruins the immersion. This collection of patches aims to fix this teaching modded enchantments to Honed Metal Enchanters.

Patches included so far

All plugins are ESL flagged.

As always with my stuff, If you have feedback, suggestions or requests, let me know.

Installation
Download the FOMOD installer with your favorite mod manager. If you choose any option that includes Summermyst, you will definitely want to install the fixed script as well. For an explanation as to why, look further below.

Load Order
Load the patches below their requirements, nothing special needs to be done. Though note that multiple patches modifying Honed Metal formlists will require additional work. Wrye bash can't merge them and other tools may not be able to either.

Compatibility
As far as I'm aware, there are only two files on SSE Nexus that modify Honed Metal formlists. One being Honed Metal - Additional Materials (I highly recommend you check this out, btw) and the patches of this collection. As of now there are no conflicts between these two mods.

If you install the modified script, keep in mind that loose files will override files of the same name in BSAs. This is why downloading this one file here is enough but it could also lead to problems once Honed Metal gets an update.

The 64 Enchantment Issue
By default, Honed Metal will only handle 64 enchantments from it's formlist. This is enough for all vanilla enchantments and there is no particular reason for it. But if you intend to add mod added enchantments, it becomes an issue. I got in contact with the Author (awesome person btw) and they said they'd look into it for the next update.

However, I'm a bit impatient and so I got to fixing the issue myself. With the authors advice I modified one of the scripts to increase the size of an array if the number of loaded enchantments exceeds the default of 64. This allows Honed Metal to deal with even the large number of new enchantments added by Summermyst without unecessarily wasting memory.

Note that this is not an issue if you manually learn all the enchantments. This limit only affects patches like these.
