Apologies for the rapid update. Found some parts of v2.09 that didn't feel as good as they could, so I adjusted them further. In particular, early game skill/perk balance should line up better if using Aetherius. Oh, and lockpicking is faster.
Hi, thanks for uploading these presets. This might be a silly question, but can the values in the ini file be modified safely over the course of a playthrough? For example, if I were to make it so that legendary skills reset to 40 during the first time, but to 70 when I reset it a second time later on, can that cause any issues?
Thanks a bunch for this. Looks useful, very glad to see it is compatible with other things I already like to use as well (Experience and Adamant)! I assume it's compatible with both at once and not just one or the other?
Just a heads up though that your link for Simple and Dynamic Skills - Improved Standing Stones goes to the url for Experience. Here is the working link.
EDIT: Simple and Dynamic Skills isn't a mod I had ever heard of before, so thank you for bringing that to my attention as well! An excellent mod that I'll definitely be using in conjunction with yours.
Pierre and I walked through all the settings and we custom tailored it to a simpler experience that still provided the vast majority of the benefits.
For the most part, it makes it more vanilla. Variable progression rates have been removed, bonus attributes at level 2 3 and 4 have been removed, and bonus perks from 26 to 29 have been removed. Everything else is the same.
Either one will work with Vokrii, although KC is probably going to feel more familiar.
sorry for the delayed response... traveling for work.
default is probably best for ordinator, but they all would work. KC would feel the most familiar while still gaining most of the benefits. default would give you a few more perks and attributes.
Yeah, the main file is a default. The other files are alternatives that you can use to replace the main file if you prefer the specific adjustments for those mod lists.
What exactly does, "Skill decisions from levels 1-10 define your strengths" mean? Does it mean what you decide to level up between 2 and 10, like say I focus on casting flames and level up Destruction, I will have stronger destruction magic than if I had not started using it until level 11? I can't find any info on what this means anywhere.
You get bonus attributes at level 2, 3, and 4, unless you're using one of the specialized cuts where the list author asked for that to be removed.
It's just an uncapper preset after all. I'm not screwing with actor values or anything.
But bigger picture, the progression curve is pretty fast from levels 1 to 10 compared to 10-30, so the skills and perks you take from levels 1 to 10 are going to be what you are using the most for a very long time.
Hi! I am very curious about your preset but I have some doubts. I have some mods that increase the difficulty and level up the enemies and for that I need my character to be a bit powerful. In fact, I have the Darkend mod, which contains very powerful enemies and I would like to prepare my character for it. My question is if I can change the cap from 100 to 200 so that I can further exceed my character's power limit. Sorry if it's a noob question but this mod is a bit hard to understand. If you also know of an interesting change for my case, I would be delighted if you would tell me. ^^
For the perks, by the way, I'm using the Vokrii mod and it seems to go well with your preset!
At the very top, there is a [SkillCaps] section setting everything to 100 and a [SkillFormulaCaps] section setting everything to 120. You can change all those to 200, and you should be set.

Let me now your thoughts on how it feels. I'm always fine-tuning the feel and pacing.
Also, if I use Vokrii instead of Adamant, which preset version would you recommend?

Just trying to find some good uncapper ini and so far your presents are the best written.
