I installed this mod and noticed it's not overwriting any of the files in RASS nor does it have a plugin. I'm wondering how it works then? If it's just a texture replacer? Using MO2
EDIT: I realized RASS is a bsa + esl. Will it work anyway then, since this is a loose file?
I totally recommend you unpack the mod with MO2's extractor. The path of the mod is correct, but since there's 2 BSA, MO2 is not finding a texture to replace, once you unpack, it overwrites it correctly.
Indeed. Like @cleanclouds suggested, once you unpack the R.A.S.S. BSA, and overwrite its loose file, my mod should start to work - as .bsa always takes priority over loose files.
just make new folders under the textures folder like this: textures, rass, effects. Then take the .dds from this mod and rename it to rassfx_breath.dds and put it in the new effects folder
I was just coming here to post about this very subject. The path and file name should be data\textures\rass\effects\rassfx_breath.dds. Looks great; huge improvement over using RASS with ENB.
As far as I can remember, the texture itself should be LE compatible. It might be using a newer format than what's supported in LE, can't remember exactly, but you should try though. Just put it in the same file path for breath.dds as the LE version of Wet and Cold, which might be different than the SE version.
hey, I know I'm in no place to ask this, but is there a chance you could make a mod which lowers the brightness of the falling dust effect inside caves/ruins and that dust effect when draugrs break out their coffins, I've been trying to fix that it enb configuration for ages but i cant seem to find the setting that effects it so i dont think there is one, though I think this is partly due to my game being quite dark.
As for your request, I was actually working on something similar before I was pulled off by work, so unfortunately I won't be able to touch and mod Skyrim for a long time. But I could've sworn I've seen something on the Nexus that fixes what you're describing, maybe not exactly, some more digging around the site might help?
If messing around ENB haven't worked out, and you're interested in some light modding - you could also try something like the More Informative Console? to find out exactly which mesh, and texture by extension is bothering you. Then some rudimentary image\mesh editing could probably get what you want.

Leave the meshes in ash folder as is.
Also, +1 for the Footprints fix!
Sadly I've uninstalled Skyrim a long time ago, so I won't be able to do a Footprints edit :(

But yea, I wish I was able to help. Good luck~
