UPDATE 1.5: Parallax textures have all be redone by Kulharin for more accurate height and depth, and to look better with ENB complex parallax.

    UPDATE 1.2:
Adds edited meshes (with parallax) from wSkeever's Shadow of Sunlight - In Small Exterior World Spaces mod. This file is in the optional downloads section.

UPDATE 1.1: Removed one meshes for the snow covered dragon mounds. Better Dynamic Snow SE doesn't cover this mesh, so it was removed not to conflict with the vanilla snow shader.

    UPDATE:

I've added a file to the Optional Downloads section that's provided by Kulharin. This file adds parallax textures (with edited meshes) to my RUSTIC RELIEF mod. In order for the parallax effect to work properly, you need to also download two other mods. You need both SSE Parallax Shader Fix (Beta), and Better Dynamic Snow SE version 2.11.

Note: Kulharin assured me that the edited meshes are fully compatible with or/and include fixes from USSEP, SMIM, ELFX, Unofficial Material Fixes. You should also be aware that adding the parallax textures will add to your VRAM load, so it's recommended that you have a decent video card.

RUSTIC RELIEFS is a collection of several of my Skyrim LE mods. This package includes the textures for RUSTIC MONUMENTS & TOMBSTONES, RUSTIC NORDIC MURALS, RUSTIC STANDING STONES, and RUSTIC WORD WALLS.

I've had a number of people asking for these mods to be brought to Skyrim SE, so here you go..... I hope everyone is happy now.

Leave your comments and queries below. Keep it cordial please.

    Cheers,
    Gamwich

Was  having an issue with ParallaxGen, which was pointing to dragonrunealphabet_p.dds as being the problem.  I took a closer look and the texture was 1025x10125 instead of 1024x1024.

Makes sense. I was experiencing crashes entering Bleak Falls Sanctum. Crash log was pointing to dragonrunealphabet_p.dds so I removed the file and the crashes went away.

Dude. Almost 8 months later and this is EXACTLY what I was fighting. Kept having a crash whenever I would enter "Surrogate" from "Scuttling Void" in Beyond Reach. Thank you for making this post

Any reason why the Kings Monuments in German are not working anymore? I re-installed your mod but the monuments are still displayed in original English.

    Using SAE 1.6.1170

No, they are the same textures that were uploaded in 2020. There's no reason for them to suddenly stop working.

Could it be it has something to do with the parallax version, I installed it afterwards ...

      [Update]
... after installing it again manually, now they are displayed correct.

Do I need to generate Lods with DynDolod 3 or Texgen for this mod to work?

correct texgen and lods help obviously but you probably won't see the objects these textures cover from far enough away for it to make a huge difference

For the parallax version, do we still need BDS if we have SOS?

Is  SSE Parallax Shader Fix (Beta) still needed for parallax ?

I see that in blackread mod list it is not used.

I also see that Pfuscher Skyrim 2020 does not require the shader fix if ENB is updated.

So in conclusion, with an updated ENB updated, do we stil need the shader fix ?

You dont need the shader fix IF you are using the latest ENB binaries.

Something appears to be wrong with Parallax version. Some of outdoor ruins (notably the ones south of Kynesgrove) get that bug with just a mesh and no texture at all.

If i had to guess i would say that some of included meshes aren't covered with corresponding parallax texture, and thus the game can't find expected _p file and it results in error. There seems to be a lot of meshes that aren't at all related to attached textures, like those exterior nordic ruins for example.

I'm also having this issue. The issue stems from the meshes in meshes\dungeons\nordic\exterior\walls.

I've noticed this as well. I was following the STEP guide and it said to hide a bunch of textures. I reinstalled fresh and didn't hide anything thinking it would fix the issue but it looks like the right textures are just flat out not there. I could be wrong, though. I'm unsure of the process of pointing textures to meshes so I'm going to leave it deactivated until a solid answer comes up.

These are meshes with sulfur on them, right? I have a similar problem.

I found the issue that worked for me - I had downloaded the parallax version even though I don't use the notoriously buggy parallax shader. I grabbed the non-parallax one and BOOM it works and looks great

As much as I love your texture mods, I am currently conflicted.
I'm already using Skyland AIO and RCI. Adding this on top means there's a lot of overwriting happening, and I don't know which to use.
Wish there was a comparison somewhere....

Wish there was a comparison somewhere....
      There actually is!

      • After installing and enabling the mod in MO2, go to the left pane double click on this mod
      • Go to the "Conflicts" tab.
      • You will see a "File" and "Overwritten Mods" Sections, File is this mod, Overwitten is what is overwitten by this.
      • Look for the .DDS texture files. The files with the "n" annotations are normal maps, "s" is specular and so on for things like cubemaps and parallax.
      • Double click on the texture file that this mod overwrites, and you will see a window pop up, comprising of this mod's texture.
      • the green left/right arrows on the top right navigate between different mod's textures.
      • General rule of thumb is go with what you prefer, but remember that SSE/AE prefers using .BC7 + mipmaps compressed textures instead of BC3 DXT5/1 + mipmaps as BC7 is more optimised, has the same quality with a smaller file size and less VRAM footprint regardless of resolution which means a more stable, faster and easier to run game when considering loading and rendering textures depending on your hardware.
      • For example, If i find there are two mods that replace the same texture, and the better one is a 1/2/4k BC7 texture while the others are DXT5/1 1/2/4k, I'm going with the BC7 file every time.

i use a lot of your mods... i mean a lot! would you possibly consider combing more of your rustics or eventually have all in one pick and choose? i do love these but i think i have about ten or more and i dont have any idea on modding to do these things on my own.

My mods are mostly just simple texture replacers, so there's no penalty to installing as many of them as you like. They won't take up a plugin slot in your load order.
