DESCRIPTION

Now includes Hunterborn compatibility!!

The mod functions in this way:  It changes the weight of Food, Potions, Ammunition, Books, Ingredients, Misc Items (i.e. clutter and raw materials), Scrolls and Soul Gems AS they enter in your inventory.  As an advantage these changes do not "bake" into a save game and so this is a perfectly safe script that can be uninstalled at any time with no consequences.  When a save game is loaded the player's inventory is checked sets the applicable items to zero.  A little notification at the top left says when the script starts and then finishes.  The script ensure however that while it's running the player isn't overencumbered.

The latest update allows the user to use the console command "set" enable/disable functionality!
Use the following console commands:
set lsw_GV_Ammo to 1                <-- 1 = enable, 0 = disable
set lsw_GV_Books to 1
set lsw_GV_Ingestibles to 1
set lsw_GV_Ingredients to 1
set lsw_GV_Misc to 1
set lsw_GV_Outerwear to 1
set lsw_GV_Scrolls to 1
set lsw_GV_SoulGems to 1
set lsw_GV_Weapons to 1
set lsw_GV_AllowMessages to 1   <--- yayyyy

To check the current value of a global variable use "getglobalvalue" e.g.
getglobalvalue lsw_GV_AllowMessages

This mod drops the weight of many items to zero.  Sometimes, especially on your 37 millionth playthrough you may feel that certain liberties can be taken...or maybe you don't give a crap about the ethical dilemmas of many traditionalists and just want to be able to lug half of Skyrim around with you.  Either way, this mod is for you!!

The affected items are:

• Food
• Potions
• Ammunition
• Books
• Ingredients
• Misc Items (i.e. clutter and raw materials)
• Scrolls
• Soul Gems
  

The mod is in ESPFE format (esl flagged) so it won't take up a spot in your load order!

It's compatible with everything as far as I know so far.  Please let me know of any issues and I should be able to build compatibility in!  Feedback is requested so I can plug up holes as they appear!

• Do not disable any plugins yet!
  Load the game, open the console and type    coc qasmoke    then press enter
• Make sure about 30 seconds have passed since you loaded the game then make a brand new save
  (don't overwrite an existing save game and don't make a quick save!)
• Exit the game
• Disable LoseSomeWeight-LSW.esp (or the plugin in question)
• Start the game, load the save you just made then wait 30+ seconds or even a bit longer to ensure that things are fully loaded
• Make a brand new save again
• Exit the game
• Enable LoseSomeWeight-LSW.esp (or the new version of the plugin in question)
• Start game, load last save and wait for the notification "Lose Some Weight has Finished" then create a brand new save
  (NOTE: Not all mods will give a notification confirming the installation of an updated/modified version)
• The final save that you just made is the save to use going forward.
• Use the coc command to return to a location that you are familiar with, e.g.:
  coc whiterunorigin     (right inside the gate of whiterun)

If you are a newbie to modding I recommend that you start reading The Tome of xEdit asap and start asking questions in the Nexusmods Discord Channel.  NOTE: FOR THE LOVE OF PETE BE PATIENT.  You don't know much yet and if you spam the crap out of people you will drive them crazy so callllllm down.  Remember that these users have lives of their own but they take their own personal time to answer questions for us newbies for free!!  So please, don't bump and spam the hell out of channels.  If you do it'll make them want to answer my questions less lol.  I actually would think it was cool if you tore into this mod and its patches.  It's a super duper duper simple (maybe, the simplest?) mod so don't feel like you're going to be opening the secrets of the universe.  Oooh ooh right and get Automation Tools asap.  RTFM.

LOAD ORDER

Seriously?  Dude, use LOOT and don't be a dumb-bunny.




If installing for a new playthrough just install like usual and enjoy!  If installing mid-game it won't reweight the items in your inventory immediately after installation.  If you dump your inventory in a container and then take it all back it will.  Otherwise, just save the game then load that save and bam, done.

UNINSTALLATION

Just deactivate it in your mod manager of choice and remove it.  It leaves nothing behind in save games!

It is critical that I point out that the real meat of this script was written by @???????? [???/??4/??76].  I know him from the xEdit discord which is filled with some of the most helpful people out there!  Credit for the rest of the script really should be given to pretty much everyone else.  I think I may have modified a few things and gotten a basic idea of wth is happening in there.  The one portion I did get on my own...err well to be clear it came right off the CK wiki lol.  I did have to modify it a bit though!  So basically, I'm just publishing this damned thing.
