Support for Ethereal Incarnation has ended. Support for the successor mod Ethereal Tools has been added as of version 0.960. Support offered for Lose Some Weight and Ethereal Tools in the Ethereal Tools Beta Discord!
Hi, when i want to make a clean save i cant load the savegame with this mod disabled. Allways get a message that the save is broken and cant be loaded.
That suggests that the scripts were actually running when that save was made. Enable it then load the save again and do all of the following: go type the following into the console then press enter (none of this is case sensitive): coc qasmoke This takes you to the test cell for Skyrim where absolutely nothing vanilla is running (mods like to mess with this area which is dumb and irritating but you're on your own with that) Then: stopquest LoseSomeWeightWatcher
Close the console and wait about 5 seconds then open the console type this and press enter: sqv LoseSomeWeightWatcher
Look for these two lines in the results in the console: --- Quest state --------------------------------- Enabled? No <-------------------- State: Stopped <-------------------- Specifically the "No" and the "Stopped". That one quest is the entire mod. When a quest stops, its scripts stop and its aliases are released.
For kicks and grins, press T and wait 24 hours inside the test cell (shouldn't be necessary at all but just extra insurance).
Now, save, exit, disable, load and see what happens. If you can load the save then proceed with the rest of the clean save process
The new version - .961 seems to take longer to load. Plus, I get the message "Lose some weight has finished!" right before "Lose some weight has started" but nothing has happened. I still have to wait a while for things to happen. I'm carrying a bunch of stuff, so I expect it to take some time, but previously I only got the "finished" message when it was actually done.
Sorry for the late reply, family (sigh). Hmm, I've not noticed that issue in my playthrough but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Would you be willing to try a clean install? Look at the instructions on the main page under "INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING A CLEAN SAVE?" (sry for the caps). Since I don't have a reliable way of reproducing the issue, this is my first thought. I will look at it first thing in the morning once I'm back.
No worries in a late reply - real life, especially family, comes first! I did do a clean save as you suggested when I upgraded. It's not a major issue, as everything still works, still great mod!
I literally just noticed that myself lol. I've just made a super optimized version of this mod that I was about to release but I need to fix this first.
Thank you for the fast response and fix. While this did seem to fix newly created potions (so far as I can tell), already created potions with this bug were not changed. It's not an issue but I wanted to point that out.
Weird...I can't reproduce the bug and it is the type that needs to be fixed. If you would, please do the following things in a very specific order: 1. Start the game and load a game with the "Continue" button then after it loads wait until it says Lose Some Weight has finished and then look, are the created potions a different weight than the created?
2. Load a save game from within another game, e.g. load the game and reload a save. Any change?
3. Put them into a container and then take them back out. Any change?
Thank you! Yours is the only weight mod that truly works for me. I was so disappointed when I saw it was gone. Kept checking and now, bam! Here it is! Happy to say it's working just as well as before.

Well done!

But for some strange reason created potions are not getting losing their weight.
I believe this was after I used the Advanced Lab with Ordinator and started making potions there, if that helps.

4. Are you using Ethereal Incarnation?
