I love these sounds, I remember the first time I installed it and went into game and heard the distant wolf howl and I shivered at the sound I love wolf howls, this is wonderful. <3
Wow, what a difference. Been gone from Skyrim playing F4 for years, but because of wabbajack and collections I came back. Those vanilla wolves (or rather single wolf) sounding like a pack always got to me. THIS mod fixes that!
Super wonderful idea. I think I'd download if the background nature sounds (birds and insects chirping) were removed. I am concerned it would bring unimmersive attention to the audio samples in game.
Ah, OK. I'll look into that. Never really bothered. But many things don't until brought to our attention. Like going to Alaska and hearing what real wolves sound like in the wild.
@ropya: Yeah, Kirkor88 is definitely talking about a background noise on the two aggro files. I loaded both of them up into Ableton Live 10 and it's there. It sounds like some analog resonance from the original recording, almost like the days of listening to cassettes. I haven't listened on a playthrough yet, but I'd be willing to bet that the background noise wouldn't be as noticeable in-game with all the other audio playing. I might try cleaning them up a bit with some of my tools in Ableton and see if I can make it less noticeable. The rest of the files sound clean and I thank you for sharing this mod.
EDIT:
Ok I was able to clean up the audio on the aggro files. I isolated the wolf sounds and eliminated the background almost completely. You'd have to ruin your hearing at the volume required to hear it now. I also did the best I could to maintain the original timbre and volume of the wolf's voice without making it sound like I ran it through a tin can. If you are interested in what I've done just PM me and I can get those files over to you. Thanks again for the mod. It's the best wolf sound replacer I've found on the internet.
Awesome. I would for sure be interested in your altered version. Its an older recording, so it may be the quality of the gear used at the time creating the issue.
you dont need a way to capture anything to show us what a .wav file sounds like. Just upload the .wav files to an audio hosting site just like The author of the new dragon sounds does.

Little did I expect that this mod would make things WAY better! Thank you!
What rabbit hole have I opened...
I don't know my friend but kudos for you for the (hard) work!
ah haha , just joking ofcourse
really nice Wolfsounds , thanks!
Wonder if it's an audio glitch from the upload. I'll download the file and give it a listen.
Double checked and im not hearing engine sounds, are you talking about the barking in aggro?

Ps. Thank you.
They sound like chains going over cogs.
I have a couple things in mind to try out...
