    SDA's Final Update!
    Exciting news, SDA community!

    Kerstyn will be returning from hiatus in early 2025 to record one final, substantial update for the Serana Dialogue Add-On, providing a fitting farewell to the mod. This update (V5.0) will include Vigilant, Hearthfires, remaining Daedric quests, and follower banter expansions! Stay tuned for a full content list on my website.

      Vigilant commentary is planned for the final update. Marty already has ideas as to how to implement it.

    Love this mod, it's literally my favorite. This mod is the whole reason I installed skyrim again and Serana is perfect with it. 

    One question tho, is there a way to make sure that the mod works always as intended and to look back at missed lines? I always have a FOMO of the lines I'd miss from this amazing mod.

    for example I went the entire civil war quest line thinking Serana would have something to say but she didn't say a single line related to it (other than her opinion on wars at the start where you ask her opinion) Now I'm not sure if that's intended that she wouldn't say anything about the war during and after it's finished or the lines just didn't work for me.

    Secondly, I read the devlogs saying Serana would talk to Jarl balgruf etc but she hasn't interacted with them at all. 

    Can someone please confirm if the mod is working as intended or did I mess something up?

      Serana doesn't have commentary for the Civil War questline so you're good on that front.

      She does have banter with Balgruuf but you may have to wait around a bit before the banter fires off.

    Is there some way to just completely reset Serana’s wardrobe?

    I’ve got that glitch where she’s just cycling through a bunch of previously set outfits, regardless of what I give her or if I even delete the outfits with console (they just come back). I even hit the nuclear option and used resetinventory on her, and to my horror all of the outfits came right back.

    I am using the Serana outfit system revamp that is linked in the bug reports, but idk if it works on a save that already has this issue? Also vortex didn’t detect any conflict so I didn’t make it overwrite anything, although it is set to load after SDA.

      The outfit fix from the link I posted should work mid-save. If not then you might have to start a new game or maybe wait for the official bug fix update as there may be changes from now until then with it that may work better.

      I appreciate the reply.

      In the end I even tried to straight up “removeallitems” and she is still somehow pulling these outfits out of her ass. If anyone else has any ideas on resetting her or somehow acceding this hidden inventory that’s she’s keeping the clothes in, I would appreciate it!

    Mod works perfectly, though she seems to be a bit wonky in combat. Not using ice-spike, only ever running in with her dagger despite setting her to wizard in tactics. 

    Possibly a conflict with my another mod? Only thing I got affecting combat is Adamant (perk overhaul.) and Blade and Blunt. No other follower frameworks. I did use alternate perspective for the intentions of testing this mod, so maybe it's because i'm level 1?

      That's just how it is. NPCs in the game only cast spells when they reach a certain skill level (it varies for spells) and/or have enough mana to where they feel comfortable casting a spell. Early on she'll use the dagger more and gradually shift to other spells and stuff as she gains more levels and mana. Giving enchanted gear that reduces magic costs and increases magic/regen helps as does uncapping her level at higher levels past 50 and/or having mods that give perks to NPCs. Also the combat style stuff is just a package via the Creation Kit that makes it so her combat style changes to a preset one. You can look up how combat styles work but overall the feature is messy to change and will be removed next patch since it doesn't work to how people expect it to work.

    Hello !

    I'm encountering a bug when after Serana is supposed to kiss you, the screen doesn't fade to black with the message "The two of you kisses" and the follow up dialogue is not occurring
    The fade to black and the message is appearing if she trains me, and do not appear with the scene in the ancestor glove again with the follow up dialogue
    I'm only using the original mod and not trying to have any animations with Flower Girls or anything

    Does anyone have an idea what's causing this please ?

      Make sure you have any patches from the patch hub that get auto-selected/you select. Also make sure you're on the latest SDA version after reinstalling it after uninstalling all older versions of the mod. Reload a save prior to the balcony confession and go through the conversation again (at the balcony itself outside of Valerica's lab after the Soul Cairn quest) and see if it works. If it doesn't, test the MinimalVQ07D test save with just SDA enabled (use a new mod profile). If it works, test the save again but with all your mods enabled like normal.

    Is this mod available with the original Serana voice that comes with the game? I don't care for the new voice.

      No, sda is only with the new voice. There is no version with the original voice, nor are there plans to make one.

    • How do I complete the quest from the miscellaneous section "Find a tavern to relax with Serana"? I offered to rest for her and drank with her, Anyway the quest does not end (sorry for the mistakes, I wrote from the translator)

      The quest is supposed to end after asking her if she wants a drink in an inn or home.

    When Serana and I arrived at Castle Volkihar Balcony, we triggered a conversation about the kissing scene. I installed the sexlab patch in the patchhub, but the script didn't seem to be triggered well, which caused me to have no follow-up after choosing a romantic conversation.
    I thought it was just a small issue at the time, but when I reached Ancestor Glade, I didn't trigger Serana's confession dialogue like in my previous saves. It was then that I realized that I seemed to have completely shut down the romantic route due to my previous small mistake
    The save occurred a very long time ago. Do I have any way to remedy it?

      Not sure if you posted on the Discord or somewhere else about this but regardless, use Resaver to filter for SDA_FGMaintenance, then delete the script instance and script definition folders then save the edited save. Do it on a save that's before the balcony confession. Go through the confession and see if it works then proceed on. For Ancestor Glade, you have to ask her directly with a flirt comment after she first comments on the inside of the glade being beautiful but before you go through with the tree bark and butterflies.

      Thank you, it seems that I misunderstood the triggering mechanism of the romantic route. I once thought that various romantic events must be triggered in a chain. If the pre event is not triggered correctly, the subsequent events will be closed (just like Amourous Adventures). In fact, it seems that they are independent of each other.

      Not an issue with this mod. If you have a black loading screen that never ends then update your AE version to the latest one to fix that. If it actually is a crash, then you can use a crash logger to see what is causing it as it most likely is not from this mod.
