      Not trying to be a jerk brother but your description section is all types of confusing and headache inducing
      and what is this bone stuff you're talking about? Can't find it anywhere lol, then you mentioned your file has "CTD"
      like uhhh....

      Hi, thanks for the mod it's working good with my cloak except for all the armor mods that are working with hdt like Resplendent Armor and Greatsword SE and Grandmaster Ursine Armour HDT SMP SE.
      It is just me ?

      Yeah me too: thanks for the mod, it's great. Unfortunately as virtalkur said, it doesn't seem to affect the HDT-enabled skirts of Resplendent and Ursine armors. Works fine for cloaks though. If anyone knows why that would be, please let us know!

      Yeah the instructions threw me off. Quite frankly I'm kind of confused on how to get this all working. I just want my character's hair to blow in the wind, but this is hella complex.

      First of all I want to thank you for your work, your mod is great but unfortunately it is outdated, please update it to work with Faster HDT-SMP. I think a lot of people are looking forward to this! Thanks!

    Unfortunately, the description is more than difficult for people who have no idea about such things. I have no experience in programming or writing files in general.
    I would say you can try, but I prefer to look for alternatives. Even if there is not a large selection in the direction of wind mod. :(

      You can't say "HDT" only. It's either HDT-PE or HDT-SMP.
      In this case, since PE is not supported on Special Edition, it's SMP.
      Yes it can move hairs, clothes and so on. Everything animated by smp I bet. (check the video link i posted in another comment).
      I'm not sure an Oldrim version is possible.

    Leaving this here in case anyone else runs into this problem.

    I've noticed that when creating a new game with this hdtSMP64.dll and Alternate Start enabled, the game will CTD during or on completion of character creation.

    Typical .net framework crash log output:

    ?Unhandled native exception occurred at 0x7FFA1DF34554 (hdtSMP64.dll+4554)

    Possible relevant objects (1)
    {
      [   5]    NiNode(Name: `NPC`)
    }

    Probable callstack
    {
      [0]   0x7FFA1DF34554     (hdtSMP64.dll+4554)
      [1]   0x7FFA1DF33E7E     (hdtSMP64.dll+3E7E)
      [2]   0x7FFA1DF6C33C     (hdtSMP64.dll+3C33C)
      [3]   0x7FFA1DF83702     (hdtSMP64.dll+53702)
      [4]   0x7FFA1DF8965E     (hdtSMP64.dll+5965E)
      [5]   0x1D9221E93EC      (SimpleDualSheath.dll+293EC)

    Disabling SimpleDualSheath.dll leads to a crash with TrueDirectionalMovement.dll, disabling both leads to CTD with additional SKSE plugins.

    Workaround is to disable this version of hdtSMP64.dll and use the original dll to create you character. Save and re-enable this one.

    Could be related to other mods as well (too many installed to narrow it down)

    Hey all,

    I managed to disable certain bones that i did not want effected by wind.

    For exmple lets take earings as something you want to disable..

    So what you need to do is ingame open the console (~)
    Type the command:  smp wind_bone_list

    look for the bone that mentions your earings

    Once its found you will see the complete name of that bone. (no need to shut the game down, you can keep it on)
    Now open the configs.xml file that is within this mods folder, and scroll a bit down. (so within your mods folder, inside the HDT SMP Wind folder)
    And add a new line <disable name="BoneNameExample"/>
    Do this almost at the bottom of the file... see screenshot below

    https://imgur.com/a/sieSDUA

    Once added to the file, save it.
    Ingame again (you can keep it running) run the console command:  smp reset
    then run: smp wind_reload, then re-equip the earings.

    if you now run the command: smp wind_bone_list again you can see the bone as disabled.
    And wind wont effect it :)

    Important note, disabling body part bones is also possible, the only thing is.. it wont work if you dont re-equip it. (kind of hard to re-equip your characters body), So for people that want wind disabled on for instance the breasts of a female character.

    To do this.. change gender via (showracemenu command)
    then change gender again via Showracemenu and then the body bones should show up as disabled.
    Atleast for me it does :)

      Very interesting post - thank you!

      Sadly I had to disable wind atm because of the infamous npc wig stretch bug while stripped which does not happen with faster hdt.

      Ony idea on this?

      Hey VonCleef

      This is great info, thanks. Thought I was the last person on earth using this version of SMP, love the wind too much to give it up.

    nexusid1234,  is SKSE build 2.0.20 (for SSE game version 1.5.97) the only one that your mod supports?  If it is, do you have plans to make a version that supports SKSE build 2.1.5 (for SSE version 1.6.353)?

    I run SSE version 1.6.353 and would like to be able to use your mod in my build.

    I know this is a hard request but any chance this could get backported to LE , with bhunp you can get smp physics on your LE character but this dll doesn't work on it, would be very cool for people who still play LE, thank you anyways <3

    EDIT: I'm just going to put my zip-file here, just use mod organizer to install (keep in mind that this replaces the HDT mod configs, so if that mod updates there might be problems): https://tinyurl.com/y4dedcdb
    __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
    Hey, this is really cool and it's working quite nicely, just have to adjust the configurations a bit. Anyways, just wanted to help people out to get this working, it's actually quite easy. (I hope this is right since I'm no expert, but it's working with no issues in my game)

    1.Manually download "HDT SMP Wind (AVX or noAVX") and the "Wind_Configs_Example" file.

    2.Right click and open the "HDT-SMP" mod in explorer (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/30872), duplicate and rename it (e.g. HDT-SMP Wind).

    3.Replace "hdtSMP64.dll" with the file you downloaded (you have to rename the mod authors file to hdtSMP64.dll).
    (If you're scared of breaking your game, we made a new mod that overwrites the original so you can easily turn it off should it make your game crash)

    4.In the folder "hdtSKinnedMeshConfigs" open the "Wind_Configs_Example" file (use notepad++ or similar) and copy everything BETWEEN "<configs>" and "</configs>".
    IMPORTANT: the start of your selection NEEDS to be exactly at the start of "<wind>" (so right before this symbol "<")!

    5.Open the "configs.xml" file, place your cursor on the right of "</solver>" and hit enter to go to the next line. Then paste everything in.

    It should look like this:

    </solver>
    <wind>
    .
    .
    .

    If "<wind>" is not at the right place you CANNOT just move it in place since everything below will still be wrong. Maybe the placement isn't important here but in programming it's almost always the source of things not working correctly.

    6.Enable the mod in Mod Organizer (reload to make it show up). It needs to be below the original HDT SMP mod.

    7.Now you just need to tweak the configs to your liking, I recommend checking out the articles!

    Here a short example to enable 2 different types of wind:

    Look for <wind-enable> OR <random-enable> and simply change the 0 to 1.

    I hope this helps!

      In your step 5, do you mean hit enter on the right of "</solver>?

      Cuz if not then you will not end up with
      </solver>
      <wind>
      .
      .
      .
      as you describe.

      Thanks for the clarification, I could get it working! Any idea why it would affect cloaks but not HDT-enabled skirts like the one in Resplendent Armor? Maybe it is working but if so it blows a lot less obviously than the cloak.

    This is what I'd call a non-intuitive mod installation. Regardless, pretty good concept when managed to pull off.
