Amazing work - Im modding it so that some of Mihal's monsters show up rarely at night and removing your speed mult.. i think 40 will slow them down since 100 is the normal baseline so ill just remove that edit but thats it. I have a couple quick questions though. What happens if you never see the encounter like your on horse or dragon does the spawn stay for all time? I dont think I saw a kill switch to remove it.
Also more importantly given the script below. Can you better clarify for me what number edits the percent chance of a spawn? It looks like the last collumn is the chance modifier which means 0 at 1am provides the highest chance for a spawn.. which confuses me. The higher the number the less likely a spawn then? how is this calculated? Also what is the middle collumn for "time to night"?
UPDATE: Im a idiot lol I didnt see your formula callout "int iChanceGivenTimeOfDay = iSpawnChance / iChanceModifier" all in all this is a very very stable mod... very elegant work. Well done. To other users coming after me - alter the "int iSpawnChance = 33" that will change the value - higher number means more likely. You cant divide by 0 at 1 am so at 1 am chance is 33% to get a spawn. This is the easiest mod to mod Ive ever seen and we can all make our own custom nights any way we want.
Hey dude. I know it's been more than a year but do you still have your modified version of this? and if so, is there a place where I can download it? Thanks!
I'm not sure if its this mod but an NPC named Ghost spawns when at night. This "ghost" however doesn't have the usual ethereal shader that usual ghost npcs have and wonder if this is supposed to be a bug.
They mostly spawn behind you, but if you stand still after a spawn triggers, or double back, they can appear out of thin air. I might fix this with a future update, but in most cases, the result should be immersive.
What's this? A spawning mod that doesn't make crazy edits to level lists that no one wanted? And it's super light weight? I must be dreaming. Nice job!
Uploaded an ESL version of it for you to Google Drive. Compressed FormIDs and given the header flag in xEdit, then renamed to an ESL extension. Check your messages for the link.
Great idea, but what advantages does this have over the Sands of Time Sleeping Encounters Standalone Module?
One thing that other mod does not do is spawn random encounters (based on location) while you are waiting, so there is an idea to explore. With that other mod, encounters may spawn at the end of your waiting period, but they will not interrupt waiting like the sleeping encounters interrupt sleep.
Another idea is that not all night encounters will be bad. Town Guard patrols, Imperials, Stormcloaks, travelling merchants, hunters, Vigilants of Stendarr, the Silver Hand, the Dawnguard. and adventurers may also be out in the dangerous dark for their own reasons.

My favorite part of the description.
If you want to take a stab at changing it yourself, feel free, and I'll upload it with credit.
