About this mod
Spawns monsters near the player at night (9pm - 5am) to make night a bit scarier. The closer to 1 am, the higher the probability of a spawn.

The mechanism is simple. Skyrim is divided into zones, and every time you change zones, a light script checks: whether you're in a city or settlement (if you are, nothing will spawn); whether it is between 9pm - 5 am; and, if both conditions are met, it does a simple random number generator to determine whether to do a spawn.
The spawn mechanics themselves are also fairly simple. If it decides to do a spawn, it will place an invisible marker behind you, wait a short while, and then spawn the monster (spawns will always be behind you, unless you double back. If you do double back, spawns may "appear out of thin air", unfortunately.) The monsters receive a brief speed boost so that they can catch up to you.
This is not a polished mod, and I am only uploading it by explicit request. There's no MCM, so any customization has to be done to the (very simple and straightforward) scripts themselves (sources are included). But as far as I can tell, and to the best of my ability, it's stable, the script load is really light, and it's safe to run (e.g. it has junk collection to make sure it doesn't bloat your save).
If anyone likes this mod and wants to build on it (e.g. by adding an MCM menu), please do - you don't need to ask permission, but I would appreciate credit in whatever you upload.
