Hey I have an small issue, rooftops look really great in Whiterun, but when I am outside of the city farther away, for example when I look at Whiterun from the hill coming from Riverwood, the blue rooftops are flickering like crazy. like someone is turning blue color on and off with a switch, it's a light show. :) any idea what is causing it, some sort of LOD problem? and how do I fix it. I'm a noob .)
I use Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch. it doesn't happen with vanilla rooftops, only new blue ones. the flickering slowely stops as I walk closer so it's only at a distance. I did not run SSELODGen :( I guess that is the problem? I was hoping I don't have to these SSELODGen and Dyndolod mods seam very complicated to me so I was avoiding them. I guess I will have to or live with flickering. :) but roofs look great in general :)
You should try SSE lodgen. This is not complicated. You run it once after you changed LOD files. You select tamriel and run it with the standard settings. You don't need Dyndolod, which is more complex, for that.
I'm having the same issue using Dyndolod. The LODs are very desaturated and blocky (I'm not using the desaturated version)... you can see them change when you're in the adjacent cell to the proper textures. I love the look of this mod but... once I've seen that I can't unsee it unfortunately.
would like to see an option that just changes cloud district and jarl palace (makes the "ever been to the cloud district?" seem that much more obnoxious lol)
Gotta say, I really like this mod as well as the one you made for Windhelm, and I am looking forward to your mods for Riften and Markarth. I do have one question though - do you have any plans for making one of these for the roofs of Solitude?
while I agree the blues and purples you already made would fit in nicely with Solitude I also have idea for smth different. I think Solitude would look awesome with a kind of rose-gold color. nicely saturated. something close to this.
?
it would be nice if you could make them more shiny too with that color. (not sure but maybe adjust ) I think it would stay true to Solitude and fit with it's esthetic while totally refreshing it and making it look more imposing and royal and refined as a capital. the rose-gold would also be a nice contrast to blue tops of Blue Palace.
oooh looks great!! :))) I would maybe make those rose gold tiles little less red and even little more towards the gold (orangy) shade. just a bit so they don't come off as brick-red rooftops. but I think it will look fantastic. that blue texture is really beautiful! :) whatever you make I'm sure it will look good :)
Question about compatibility. I am not a modder, baby modder maybe. Barely CK proficient. How do I get this to work with CleverCharff's city mods? I love the look of his buildings and textures - but cannot seem to get this to work alongside. Is there a way to fix? Very PC savvy so if it's just a matter of replacing a file that would be awesome. Any help/suggestions out there?
Blue or red just really works well with Whiterun. I chose blue because its my favorite color. I am glad for this mod because with Skyrim LE, I used horrorview's "Sexy Whiterun" mod that did something similar and I miss that mod So, this fills that niche beautifully!
Im using 3d trees and plants, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12371 and trees in cities https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1941

Did you run SSELODGen ? Is it gone when you roll back to the old Textures?
There are a lot Flickering Meshes Fix mods on the nexus, if you seach for flickering but i doubt it will help.
Maybe you find some help in the SSE support forum, seach this forum for "flicker"

trying something in rose-gold for Solitude, but metal surfaces are challenging.
Have not tested it in-game yet.
And a texture for the blue palace
