MARIGWEN’S RECIPES

BRIEF OVERVIEW
This mod was designed to be a lightweight addition to Requiem providing greater usefulness of healing poultices, food, stews, soups and beverages. While I still consider this a beta version, and will until Requiem SE is released, it is close to what I wanted to conceptually achieve. I am interested in any critique and suggestions which I will incorporate into the final release. An SSE converted version of Requiem must be installed. The mod will not work without this requirement. 

DESCRIPTION
This mod incorporates Anna's Soups and Stews by the extremely talented Anduniel. See the permissions on her mod page. Anduniel's mod is not required,  but please download and endorse it. Also, look around and download her other mods as well. They are excellent. 

I would recommend this with a new game. You can probably add it to an existing game by re-running the Reqtificator, but I did not try that so I cannot recommend it. 

Methodology
All foods were classified by their basic ingredients (potatoes, tomatoes, salt). These ingredients were then entered into a table and buffs were assigned to them. Any alchemy ingredients were assigned the useful components (no poisons) from their alchemical makeup. All buffs are concentrated by food type, with stews providing multiple benefits. All cooked foods, soups and stews were recreated using this table and their respective ingredients.  Uncooked foods have reduced buffs but retain their "raw" characteristics, so a strong stomach is still needed for their consumption. 

Quantity
All recipes make between 3 and 5 servings. So a resourceful adventurer can spend their Sundas evening cooking for their busy week.

Duration
Durations have been increased to reduce the need to eat frequently during the day. A good morning meal should take you to early afternoon where you can then eat again. You can round out the day by snacking as needed. 

Regional Menus
The various Inns around Skyrim now serve regional fare. Coastal towns and cities by water will have more fish, clam and horker dishes while those towns and cities that are land based will have more deer, beef and meat. Holds will have better selection and variety than towns. All Inns have a good chance of carrying some health related potions or items. 

Feedback Desired
This is still a beta release in preparation of a full official Requiem for SSE later this year. It is in beta form because I created the buffs to be useful for A Dead is Dead playthrough, but I am interested in modifying to accommodate different playstyles. So, consider the following
1. Are the buffs too much or not enough?
2. Should there be any additional recipes?
3. Is the duration too long, or not enough?

I created a Forum so that all suggestions and criticism could be available in one location. I have no issue if you decide to use the comment section instead, just know that I will likely move that comment over into the Forum section. 

Who is Marigwen?

Marigwen's Recipes is named after my wife of 26 years. She graciously gives me the freedom to enjoy a hobby that, truthfully, is designed for individuals more skillful and much younger than I. The recipes are based on her logic as to what buffs should be provided by each ingredient. As an example, apples provide disease resistance because "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." We did this at dinner one evening and I recreated all buffs based on her logic.


INSTALLATION
Install with your favorite Mod Manager into your Skyrim\Data folder. It should be located after Requiem.esp in your load order and also after any patches that modify foods, soups, stews or poultices; that is unless you prefer their effects over these.
