For those folks still needing a patch for their chosen weather mod, it's fairly easy to DIY one yourself so long as you're at least vaguely familiar with using SSEEdit.
1. Load Cresty's included vanilla/True Storms patch as a copy/paste reference for your own, and your weather mod into SSEEdit. 2. Use the conflict filter for 'selected esps only' option and select the reference patch and your weather mod's esp. Wait for the filter to complete. 3. For all records in conflict, right click the header for your weather's esp and choose 'copy as override into', then name your new patch.
At this stage you'll notice that your newly created override patch is now conflicting with the reference patch for all records in common. This is of course our objective, to ensure our chosen weather mod prevails in any conflicts with the reference patch. Except that we need to:
4. Scroll down the conflicted record until we see something that is added by the reference that is actually a function of the Cresty's mod rather than just a reiteration of vanilla weather records. This will almost certainly be just the 'sky static' column which should be towards the bottom of the stack of entries.
5. The 'sky statics' column will probably have identical entries for both your chosen weather mod and Cresty's patch, aside from the additional weather entries that we want for mists, in which case you can move the entire column across to your override patch. However, if they differ then you want to preserve your weather mod's changes and only move across those entries that are strictly a function of Cresty's mod. The ones we want to ensure are included will contain text that says 'mist distance small' or 'mist distance large'
Save as you go, SSEEdit can sometimes throw a fit and you don't want to lose your progress. Only ever make saves to your override patch obviously. All being well you will finish up with a nice little tidy patch that preserves your weather mod's changes but includes Cresty's mists. Mission accomplished!
man it took me a while to figure out why i couldn't get this to work; turned out ages ago i installed Water's Edge Fix and it severely decreases fog density. Once i turned it off everything worked out just fine. how silly of me....

Which setting should I use to make it work?
I'm using RAID Weathers (based on ELFX Weathers). What is the best way to use Cresty's Distant Mists in my game?
EDIT: it doesn't :(
