    Version 2.0: Big update as I had to rewrite the whole mod from scratch due to issues I was running into while trying to add new ideas. Choice options now begins with 3 paths leading to 7 corresponding roles. Quest log now displays simple objectives at the start and brief background information about your path upon moving to your starting location for added immersion and role-play purposes.

    Version 2.1: Small change to Adventurer Start's equipment to better reflect armor added from BS:Bruma as user suggested

    Notes: This should be safe to update since this mod only affects the start of a new save anyways. Thanks to those who posted suggestions and ideas, hope you enjoy the way I implemented them!

      There is a spelling error in the options "I am in Cyrodill", should be "Cyrodiil"

    hello i have sugestion to add to soldier start few conversations and orders to go to skyrim to help with civil war and add a few guard quests to guard start

    hi, will there ever be an option that acts like a prequel to Skyrim? like if you leave Bruma then the original skyrim opening happens?

      I second this emotion. Starting as the fleeing Talos worshipper and then getting waylaid and put on the cart as soon as I crossed over the border would be perfect for my character concept.

    The typo in the start quest name and dialogue topic are killing me. Cyrodiil, not Cyrodill.

    The Imperial Soldier Start could use a bit more love, it felt rather barebones.

    First off, you wake up in the barracks and a fellow Legionnaire approaches you, telling you to report to Legate Varo on the double. You head outside, he tells you to take a Bay Horse, and orders you to report to General Tullius up in Skyrim to get an assessment on the current situation of the Stormcloak Rebellion. (Also optionally helping interrogate the Stormcloak Prisoner) He says he would have you go to Solitude, but he heard that Tullius is on his way to Helgan, so you're sent on your way there instead. And so as normal, you come upon Helgan burning as Alduin flies away.

    You should also start off as part of the Imperial Legion Faction and automatically fail Joining The Stormcloaks, as no one appears to recognize you as a member of the Legion. So, when you eventually go to see Tullius, he recognizes you as an Imperial Legionnaire, but he doesn't recognize you as one under his command. You state your business, Tullius reports the current situation and comments on the affair with the Stormcloak Prisoner if you did that side quest, and he asks if you could do him a favor before leaving and tells you to speak to Rikke. She orders you to clear out Fort Hraggstad, you do so, report back to her, and then she and Tullius release you back unto your posting at Fort Pale Pass.

    You deliver the report to Legate Varo, he says that he'll send a courier to deliver your report to the Imperial City, and then Varo transfers you to under Tullius's command. Back in Solitude, you report in to Tullius informing him that you're now under his command, and he sends you to speak to Rikke about Korvunjund... and the rest is history.

      This would be a fun character to role-play.

      I have some alternative ideas (all of which I'm sure would be very difficult to mod, and fall far outside of Live Another Life's parameters, but could be role-played with this start as if they happened/will happen) for an Imperial Legionary start.

      You could be entrusted with escorting the cart from the opening scene carrying the recently captured Ulfric Stormcloak, and some other Stormcloaks or ne'er-do-wells who you've caught trying to cross the border at Pale Pass, from Fort Neugrad to meet General Tullius at Helgen. You can then experience events from the point of view of one of the soldiers, rather than a prisoner.

      Or you could part of the cohort that has been selected by Tullius to ambush and capture Ulfric and his men at the Stormcloak encampment near Darkwater Crossing. You leave Fort Pale Pass and report to Tullius and an Imperial explorator who has been deep undercover amongst Ulfric's men.

      Alternatively, you have just caught one more person trying to cross the Pale Pass border, and have been ordered to escort them to Helgen in case Tullius wants to interrogate them, when you see flames engulf the town from afar and huge winged creature rise up into the sky.

    Recently downloaded Bruma again. Started fine within the Jerall View Inn and as soon as I open the door to bruma proper, it crashes. Even tried earlier versions to no success. Tried the Ayleid ruin start, worked fine until I got to the city gate, then boom, crashed again. What in Bruma could cause the crashing?

      Same thing happening to me. I am choosing your options and I get the same CTD with the Jerall View Inn. I loaded the same file and everything is fine. It just crashed once, might not even be this mod.

    I just downloaded this mod and while all of the other new starts have worked out just fine, for some reason whenever I choose the courier start and use the bed I spawn into the world but then die immediately. By the looks of it I'm not being attacked or anything, I just spawn in dead.
