This is my first time using this mod, and I love the idea! I've always wanted to use scrolls, but even with the Secretkeeper perk they've been pointless. I love that they're finally buffed!
But I can't craft any scrolls? I have the proper levels, rolls of paper, ink, and I've checked my MCM settings. I spent an entire day running around Solitude looking for a quill since I thought maybe that might be a requirement (fun fact, not a single quill in the entire Bard's College. They really are frauds). I should be able to make Candlelight, Fury, and Oakflesh scrolls as a novice, right? I have 24 Enchanting, 31 Alteration, and 17 Illusion
I think the mod may be broken right now. I haven't used it myself in years, so I'm not actually sure. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Currently, I've got a backlog of mods that need fixes that I'm trying to work through and I'll put this on the list.
I believe Spell Research breaks it. I had this installed (along with the apocalypse patch) a couple years ago, and it worked perfect. Started playing again as of a few days ago, added some mods to the modlist including Spell Research. Suddenly learned spells aren't showing up in the crafting menu despite getting a notification that they were learned. Checked TES5Edit for conflicts, but don't see any. Despite this, moving it down the load order past Spell Research made it suddenly work again (but also caused that loaded save to crash within a few minutes, so changing load order mid-game might be a bad idea). So something in that mod appears to be breaking it.
Oh and just a thought - whenever you get around to upgrading, maybe consider adding it to either Hearthfire Extended's crafting workbench or Interact's crafting tables. Personally I've been using the duplicate feature of Decorator Helper to put one in the Dev Aveza worshop, in the LOTD crafting room, and each of my Hearthfire homes. Until it broke, anyway.
This is a great mod in principle but I have an issue where the only scrolls I can craft are ones I've already disenchanted. I've learned two spells but neither appear on my recipe list when using the scroll station or the scribe scroll. Am I missing something?
When crafting a scroll it applied the effect for EACH SCROLL.
-I waited 2 in game weeks and it did not wear off.
-So I went into MCM and set the scroll cost to nothing, i.e. turned off the reduced magicka requirement.
-Now the Active Effect says that Magicka regains at a rate of 0, effectively making the effect permanant.
-I then opened Console and typed "Help ReducedMagicka" to try to get an ID so I can remove the effect through console commands but nope. It did not list one. Just told me the Total Reduced Magicka was 190 and the duration was 0.
-I then tried to Mod Manager and turned the mod off. Restarted game and tried to make a new save but the game crashed on every save.
Please help me get rid of this active effect. A spell ID would be helpful.
Ok, I was able to remove the effect and remove the mod and be able to save. However Magicka is still not refilling. If I refil with a potion and use a spell it will not replenish. Its like I have no magical skill and am a novice at everything again. I also am not getting any effects from worn outfits.
this mod has seriously broken the entire Magicka system of the game. PLEASE come back to this mod and help me fix it.
For anyone else who has this problem, check your magickaratemult with getav. It should be at 100, but something about this mod ticks it down. You may need to use the modav command to fix it.
very interesting mod but could use dynamic placement or a overhaul that adds it to playerhomes (vanilla/hearthfire). the incovenience of going to farengar every few adventures to resupply isn't really appealing.
esl-flagged also? (not trying to troll, i love your mods but maybe you could post a list of which have esl-flag? if not no worries, will try to just find out on my own. Thank you again for all your awesome mods)
From the Mysticism Changelog: "Mysticism 2 implements new scrolls and staves for all relevant spells." So are they compatible now? Or is it just that you won't be able to craft the new scrolls, but they can work independently of each other?
I know the spell but I cannot create the scroll. I checked conditions of recipes and, as I understood, I must exactly disenchant the scroll, right? How can I do this? On enchanting table?
Any list about the location of each scroll-station? If you add some of them in the College, I wonder how they appear with "Obscure's College of Winterhold" mod. (The DragonReach one collide badly with the staff enchanter added by Fulcimentum btw.)
Nice concept, I'v endorsed it even though I didn't install it yet.
I was going to install this mod, but I have Dragonborn DLC is part Skyrim (DBPOS) that also adds a Staff Enchanter in the exact same spot in Dragonsreach (and one in every hold with a Court Wizard) and I was wondering if there was anything I could do to make this mod compatible? Are the crafting stations modular, in that they can individually be turned off in the MCM? Would I have to open up zEdit and move them around, or could I simply use the Disable command on one of the incompatible crafting stations? Would it be possible for anyone to release a version that only has the one in Winterhold?
If you use Creation Kit it's much easier to move. I did that for the one in Dragonsreach to play nice with JK's interior changes, and in The Blue Palace to fit JK's better as well. 10 minute patch tops (and that includes messing with the controls until you figure out which way you're rotating)
Any chance you can make the patch for JK's interiors public? I'm still scared to mess with Creation Kit, and I do use JK's interiors...would be great if I could fix the small glitch with this mod!
And I also use the Ultimate College of Winterhold mod, so I was wondering the same as the OP too...if anyone makes a patch for these mods...well, you're my new best friend!
Maybe when I get less scared of the Creation Kit I'll try it myself.
