Since version 2.0.0 the mod now uses Address Library for SKSE Plugins. The mod should work on all versions newer than 1.5.39, but keep in mind that I officially support only the latest version (1.5.97). Please do not report issues if you're using an older version.
SkyUI and SSE Engine Fixes (with MemoryManager patch enabled) is highly recommended.
The mod comes with an .ini file that allows you to customize every aspect of the mod. It can be found here: Data/SKSE/Plugins/SkyrimSoulsRE.ini For example, you can disable the movement in menus if you don't like it, enable slow motion, set certain menus to be paused, etc.
Movement in menus using keyboard/mouse: Use WASD (or whatever you have movement mapped to) to move around and your mouse to navigate the menus. The menus itself will not react to WASD buttons. Move the mouse to the edge of the screen to rotate the camera (like in dialogue menus).
Movement in menus using controllers: The following changes will apply: - Use the left stick to move and the D-pad to navigate in the menus. Make sure you're not using mods that disable the D-Pad navigation in menus. - If you also enabled the camera move setting, use the right stick to move the camera. To rotate items in inventory, press on the right stick to maximize the view first. - If using SkyUI, use LB and RB buttons to change categories in the favorites menu. If you like the movement in menus, and wish to extend this to the Dialogue Menu, check out Dialogue Movement Enabler.
Change the location of some hooks to reduce false positives in crash-logs.
Disable movement in crafting menus (prevents player from leaving the crafting station when a MessageBoxMenu is open which causes CTD)
Fix Map Menu clouds not moving or jittering.
Fix child worldspaces showing up in the parent world map in Map Menu.
Fix for newly loaded cells showing up as black squares in Map Menu
Changed the method some of the other Map Menu issues are fixed, so it is more reliable.
The Map Menu marker now always shows the correct player location in real-time.
Auto-move now possible in Map Menu.
Fix for keyboard layout/language not updating properly when changed.
Improved way to disable background blur.
Improved the thread-safety of the mod when doing UI tasks.
Menu instance caching - can reduce the stuttering when opening menus, noticeable with some of the heavier GUI mods. This is highly experimental and disabled by default.
Lots of internal changes.
1.6.1130 and newer only: fixed CTD when serving time in jail
1.6.1130 and newer only: fixed RemoveAllItems not working
This looks interesting. You say it was when equipping an item? It's not what I'm seeing here. It looks like it crashed during item transfer (adding or removing an object from a container).
The times it happened to me was when giving and taking clothes from an NPC, so I immediately associated it with whether the clothes were the problem, but no, I kept trying it in other situations and there was no ctd, it's totally random, just in one of those situations where he gave or took away a piece of clothing, the ctd occurred
Yeah, I was assuming it was related to that. This crash is coming from some animation related functionality that I don't really understand, it is possible that it's related to NPCs equipping items, but it happens during an item transfer. Never seen this crash before, so I don't really have an answer, but I'll look into it.
Taking advantage of the moment, in this latest update, when browsing the menus and clicking, the character does the action of attacking, I was looking in the ini for any parameter that has changed but I can't find it, do you know what parameter I should change?
Don't know why but changing values in the INI file doesn't seem to carry the desired effect, I tried to disable the unpaused Favorites menu but nothing has changed, I am using the mod with Gate of Sovngarde collection could it have a bad interaction with another mod? Anybody has tried to disable some unpaused menus and got results?
i had no issue disabling un-paused menu for my favorites menu and quest journal. all i did was change true to false in the ini for those menus, sounds like it might be a conflict with another mod to me
I just found this mod a couple weeks ago and I just have to say, SSE Engine Fixes caused me nothing but grief, Skyrim Souls runs just fine on its own with NO ISSUES. And I also want to say Thank You for this wonderful mod, it makes reading in game so much better. And after the struggle with SSE engine fixes it was all the more rewarding to sit down and read a book in "real time" with immersive animations :-)
For anyone who, like me, was having problems navigating the menus while using this mod with Gamepad++, you'll need to disable the option that allows character movements while within the menus using the Left stick, in order to do that, go to:

and change the bEnableMovementInMenusvalue to false as:

If you can narrow it down, I can check why.
Game seems to crash when entering or exiting interiors. The weird thing is that it is random and inconsistent.
Any help would greatly be appreciated. Cheers.

Can you try making a crash log with this instead: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/59818?tab=files
Cheers!
However, I can see it complaining about HUD. Perhaps try to disable HUD modifications in the SkyrimSouls ini file, see if it makes a difference.
