Disclaimer Playing as a child is neither recommended nor supported by the mod authors. It was merely meant as a way to create/edit faces outside of the CK and use ECE, Racemenu or others to export them. Anything other than that WILL have bugs and visual problems (e.g. neck gaps) and neither of the mod authors will provide support.
If you decide to play as a child character, you will be on your own. Support requests for child playthroughs may be ignored or deleted.
PS4: This mod uses assets (custom meshes, textures) that Sony does not allow in mods for PS4, so, unless they change their policies, there won't be a PS4 version.
1.2 WIP: Here Planned Features: MCM - Done Mer and Beast children races New voicelines for Khajiit children (might not make it in this update) Removal of all ITM records Optional: New races instead of replacer (this will make it so that children added by mods will be standard Beth potatospawn instead of dark faced demons when no patches are applied; unfortunately it will also break existing patches, but repairing them can be done by simple xEdit script)
Updated again. Should fix the last few naked children. Make sure the esm loads after the unofficial patch. Brown/black faces are in most cases caused by either a mod adding children and no patch being applied or a load order issue. This is not technically a bug, but just how Skyrim handles the facegen data...
Installed this mod for the first time and with no other mods that alter children I get the same thing. Very disturbing honestly :D. Giant adult heads on the kids. I do have the Distortion Face Fix mod as I am temporarily having issues with some NPCs. Will test if this is causing the issue.
I think i figured it out (if you're using vortex) cause i was having the same issue after having to reinstall a bunch of npc/texture/body,face,hair mods. long story.
anyway. after fiddling around i bit i saw that the plugins weren't actually registered in the load order, or they were assigned the same place as another mod. i toggled auto-sort on/off (double click the entry, a tab/window will pop up on the right, scroll to the bottom and the option will be there) for all of the Rs Children related mods, making them actually register. Hit sort now and everything is in the right place and working.
even if you got it working, i'm hoping this will help someone else in the future.
You offer THIS: "Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp" "RSkyrimChildren.esm" But RSChildren.esp requires THIS: "RSkyrimChildren.esm" "Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp" What should I do?
why esm & esp ? can both plugin merge into one esp ? esm plugin will have early load, most of the time the additional esm plugin can change reference for the plugins below it. It can make "weird behavior" in the existing game & i don't see you mention requirement about new save/new game. I know it s not recommended to add mod in the existing game, but i believe many of us doesn't start a new game / save to add another mod
esm is used as a master for resources, patches tend to use it. so it needs to be loaded at the top. esp is used to implement the actual changes on the npcs (children), so it needs to be loaded at the bottom (so you dont crash or get dark faces)
its an appearance change mod, you can add it mid game
Hello , i'm gokual , a big porter mod from playstation knowledge me as the greatest porter of WyrmStooth on PlaysTation , i really like your mod RsChildren many people want kids modified on console , i would want to know if i'ts possible to have an permission to upload and port for console? credit and full link direct to you of course it will be. Best regards Gokual
The children at the orphanage in Riften have black heads and the rest of the body white, I have already disabled all other mods to check what the conflict was, but the problem still persists... I am using the updated version of skyrim SE 1.6.1170 .
I'm doing a fresh mod setup of Skyrim (wish me luck!) using The Method. (TL;DR: checking for conflicts in xEdit after each mod install in MO2. Tedious, but highly effective.) I mention The Method, because I've run into a strange problem: RSChildren.esp has a couple of bizarre conflicts with RSkyrimChildren.esm, both of which come from this mod. The screenshot below illustrates the worst one.
Any idea what I do about this? Do I ignore it, or patch the Additional Races and Biped Body Template fields, or.... ? It's the first time that I've ever seen a mod that has record conflicts with itself like this. I haven't tested it in-game yet - still in the mod setup phase.
I guess that the mod author overlooked these clothes. Just don't give any yellow or grey clothes to your kids. Gift them blue/green/red clothes if they are already wearing them.
@RShadow7 Many thanks for the information. I had already considered installing a children's clothing mod just for this. But thanks to you I can save myself that. Thank you very much.

PC: Probably won't come, as I feel PC users should stay away from that place, for we have superior alternatives.

According to several comments in the mod's posts tab, it also works on 1.6.1170.

You can see here that those clothes were added by Hearthfire for you to give to your kids as a gift, no children wear them by default: https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Child%27s_Clothes
