Hello good day, excuse me should I let the Bijin mods-Seranaholic and Valerica mods and Metalsabers beautiful orcs and elegant elves mods overwrite your "Vanilla NPCs SSE Ruhmastered v2.1" and "Vanilla NPCs SSE Ruhmastered EFA v2.1 Main" mod files? or Yours should overwrite those?

Let those mods overwrite all NPCs Ruhmastered files.

Not sure if this has been addressed already (or if it would be possible) but could this mod be used as a base to rebuild NPC facegens with high poly head? If not, I'm guessing that loading up all the mods you combined then loading HPH in the CK could accomplish the same effect?

If I ever get the time...that is one thing I really want to do.  Create a high poly version of this mod for both LE and SE.

For anyone that wants to use this as a base with another NPC mod (Bijin for example), extract the zip into a folder and then run Cathedral Asset Optimizer (which you can get here on the Nexus). It allows you to create BSA files. Then all you have to do is create an empty ESP files using the Creation Kit, and as long as they both have the name, the mod will now load through a BSA and can be overwritten by other mods BSA's (tutorials for Cathedral and the CK can be found on Youtube. These 2 processes are very easy to do).

Edit: I lied Cathedral actually does the entire process for you! Just select create dummy plugin when compiling the BSA, and then rename both files afterwards to whatever you want (just make sure they match).

Can this be used together with WICO and VHR?
    Windsong Immersive Character Overhaul
    Vanilla Hair Replacer

Or would everything just get overwritten?

WICO, no, because my facegens are loose files, they'll override the ones packed in WICO's BSA.

VHR? No idea atm. Mod is set to hidden currently while it updates.

It's simple. I unpacked WICO's BSA's. That way they can overwrite this mod properly.

If anything... I think I'd want to overwrite WICO and rebuild the facegen data if I had to...

No. Ruhmastered needs to be the base, then overwrite with any other mods. WICO is packed in a BSA, so loose files will always overwrite it.

@Zanderat - Yes, unpacking WICO's facegens from the BSA and overwriting Ruhmastered ones should make it compatible. That would be the only way.

@Drake0713 - That too, could also work. You'd have to follow the exact steps I took to make these facegens but also include WICO's esp in the process. Perhaps I might make a patch for WICO. I'm long overdue for producing some updates here.

Would you be able to make a BSA version of this mod so that it's more compatible with others? I really want to use this as one of my bases with Bijin AIO overwriting it, but it can't overwrite loose files. I'm pretty sure I can compile this into a BSA using Cathedral optimizer, but I have no idea how to build an ESP for it.

edit- NVM, I figured it out. Actually pretty easy :D

When I use this mod, several NPC women (Beitild comes to mind) appear to have burned faces similar to how a burned corpse looks.  Is this a weird manifestation of the same old dark face bug?  I haven't pinned down whether the affected NPCs have all been altered by other mods.

Apart from that, this is my favorite NPC overhaul mod by far.  It doesn't make dirty NPCs clean, it doesn't introduce silly resting facial expressions, and it doesn't drastically change the character of particular NPCs--It simply improves the quality of said NPC's features while maintaining their overall aesthetic.  Highly recommended.

      Update:

This had nothing to do with this mod!

Apparently, doing batch facegens in CreationKit occasionally exports a face with the wrong texture.  The faces in question were exporting with astridhead.dds even though AFAICT that isn't specified anywhere.  Exporting each errant actor individually appears to work correctly.  *shrug*

    Nice work!

Using Unbound as a metric, I had a lot of trouble choosing between this and HMB II.  The latter has extremely high quality face detail without straying extremely far from the NPC's usual look.  Ruhmastered, though, is much closer to the NPC's usual look, but with higher quality than vanilla.  Plus, HMB II seems to give some of the NPCs resting grin face, which is really weird during the wagon ride and execution.

For others, I suggest using this mod, downloading High Poly Vanilla Hair, installing both, and running FaceGen on any NPCs you'd like to have complementary vanilla hair updates.  There's an excellent guide for n00bs like me at VHR Facegen Generation Tutorial.  That way you get better hair and better faces that both stay true to the vanilla experience!

Do you have an example NPCs formid from this mod's EFA version with mismatched teeth? I'm going to be regenerating some of my personal tweaked npcs using a super fix combo of Eyes AO Clipping meshes with your SUEMR fixes and DeserterX's bright eyes fix with the alpha .999999 ENB eye shadow tweak, ENB Brows fix, the Just Fangs .tri files, ethereal elven overhaul .tri files, and vampire facial reclamation with the EEO patched .tri files from oldrim. Now I'm just on the fence on which visual sacrifice I should go with if I use your fixed mouth or your fixed EFA mouth.

I dont understand the description says that it "incorporates" changes from other mods and then slightly later in the description it says to use those mods...

Does this or does it not make the mods it "incorporates" redundant? If not then this mod does not incorporate anything from other mods.

You didnt read the desc very carefully. He is telling you there are improvements applied to NPCs and, ones for the PLAYER. This files, applies those fixes in a blanket way to the games NPCs, but does not apply the same fixes to the player. In order to do that, you still have to install all the mods where noted.

"Highly recommended to also install Ultimate Eye Meshes, Eyes AO Clipping Fix, ENB Eyebrow Fix for Oldrim, Double Sided Vertex Human Mouth Fix, and BVFE so the player has all the same improvements as NPCs here. "

I see that. Im saying that the description contradicts itself by claiming that it "incorporates" those mods. It doesnt. It makes some of the same changes but exclusively for NPCs only.

Its like all of the aesthetic mods are being purposefully difficult and confusing.

Yes, vague or seemingly contradictory explanations are kinda common around the nexus. Most people, are not professional writers and a lot of times what seems clear to us, in our heads at least, may not necessarily be the best wording. But, even established publishers of actual software are often times, not much better in this regard either.

That is what the definition of 'incorporates' is. Your misunderstanding is not an error on the mod author's part

Really sorry for how confusing this may be for some. Mebantiza is 100% correct in how my meaning is to be interpreted.

The problem comes from the fact that the Player and NPCs are created differently. That's a Bethesda thing. I'm just doing my best to explain it, lol. It's important to understand in order to get the effects you want.

Most aesthetic mods generally will only mess with the player and avoid NPC edits (for compatibility). Then there are others that do apply it to NPCs by providing facegens, but then they will exclude any other mod that also edits facegens. The idea behind my work here is to combine all of the effects from several popular mods into one facegen solution.

To sum it up...No, this isn't a mod pack. I created something new to be used in tandem with all those mods ^_^

Where can we find this patch or how can I create myself?

    Important:

BVFE tris were made for vanilla meshes. They need a patch to work 100% correctly with EFA teeth. Having vampire fangs for females and non-glitchy facial animations is a good trade off in my book. BVFE tris do calm down male fangs though, so they have to be an improvement from vanilla. If you notice a slight misalignment in fangs, this is why.

That would take good knowledge of tri files. While I know what they do, and how to use them...I do not know how to edit them :X The creator of EFA might be a better person to ask. I too would be interested in such a patch.
